"×× So, how are we going to be traveling to this other country? ××"
"×× By plain. ××"
Everything was downstairs at the kitchen table having breakfast while slightly panicking at the thought of going somewhere else. "×× Do we have to leave? ××" SilverWing whined, practically pleading to mom to stay. "×× I already planned everything out with you're cousins so it's concluded we're going. ××" She explained, taking a sip of her coffee. "×× You do realize only you and [Name] know how to speak proper English, right? ××" Mortikie looked towards mom, needing to make sure she didn't somehow forget. "×× Well, you can speak some English. ××" She reasoned with him as both me and my brother gave her a disappointed look. "×× SilverWing can't speak any English. ××" Mortikie pointed towards our younger sister, starting to get ticked off. Our mom looked towards SilverWing who was still eating and trying to ignore the small argument. She looked back towards us with a confused look. "×× She'll learn in her time there, don't worry. ××" She waved her hand, dismissing the serious topic as Mortikie's ear twitched in annoyance.
"×× You know what, ××" Mortikie sat up from his seat abruptly "×× I'm getting ready. ××" He hissed before leaving the table, going upstairs as mom tried calling him back down to have a family dinner. My ears flattened, now covering my face with a bored look. "×× So, you excited to go meet your cousins? ××" I looked back towards mom, seeing her excited look as Silverwings face was covered in discomfort from the thought of leaving on plain. "×× Yes. ××" I answeard in a mumbled voice. Our mom looked towards me, about to say something else that'll probably make me more annoyed. "×× Once it's the last day. ××" Her face was covered in a frown as her ears flopped to her side. "×× Come one, it'll be fun, I promise. ××" She said in a sweet voice that only made anger bubble up inside of me. "×× Yeah, uh, no. The only way it will be fun is if everyone in this family had the time to learn proper English, and was at their last wing stage already. ××" I snapped, sitting up from my chair as I accidentally startled SilverWing. "×× You'll get to your last stage, don't worry. ××" She said softly as my wings only flared out in a aggressive manner.
