It's a relief that Tawan is dead now.

Vegas never knew that pulling a trigger and plugging holes on someone would be that satisfying. He could still remember how Tawan 's expression transitioned from affectionate to surprised one, welcoming his death with a betrayed, broken heart.

"Do you have any backup plans?"

Vegas zipped up his slacks, "Backup plans?"

"Tawan," Phong pulled a gum— a strawberry one out of his pocket to chew. He then scowled while scanning down his almost buttonless shirt, "That guy has loose screws, I can tell."

Vegas shook his head while grinning. He can't argue with that.

"Death?"

Phong looked at him as if he'd grown another head

"That's his fate whether he fuck up or not. That's how you dump people, I already know that much," he paused from talking and ducked to pick up his disconnected buttons. Vegas eyed his round ass, not letting the opportunity slip out, "I am talking about your plan against the main family. What will you do if they find out about the connection between you and Tawan?"

"I don't think I have the say to that."

"Hmn?" his brows knitted, "What do you mean?"

"My father will not let me do something. Although all of this is his plans, once something fucked up he'll blame it on me and probably, confine me in the safe house to make him feel better?"

"I... don't get it."

"I looked a lot like him when he was younger."

Vegas propped his knuckle under his chin, focusing on the passing familiar streets outside his getaway vehicle.

Phong was right, Tawan fucked up. His delusion to save Vegas from this world made him stray far from the plan. Kidnapping Porsche's younger brother and blowing off Vegas' cover by kissing him in front of Porsche just because he is jealous .

He sighed and rested his back on his seat as the vehicle wound its way towards the minor manor. Although restless, he still has something to do once he gets home.

"Your father asked you to get close to Porsche, am I right?"

Vegas didn't answer. He didn't want to.

"Korn intended for that to happen for sure. And your father is really doing a great job in playing his part in this circus," Phong exclaimed, like Vegas' father is the dumbest creature he'd ever seen, "Your father is a loser. No offense."

Vegas shook his head, "Not taken."

His phone beeped for the nth time. He would not be surprised if one of the messages will let him know how much his bounty costs. He probably made it to the blacklist after what has transpired in the warehouse.

In normal circumstances, Vegas would start to worry because he knows his father will probably beat him to death. But for the first time in his life he feels free and confident, actually looking forward to what will happen next.

"You don't have to pursue Porsche. That man is smart, he'll realize something eventually," Phong looked at the clear sky above them and continued, "Besides, he could be a problem, so you better watch out."
