A new phase of the moon

Accalia

Tristan: A lot of hunters know what's going on with the Thrax pack and bite marks are rising in human towns. We're having meetings to set up what we're gonna do. Keep you posted sissy.

Accalia: Cole hasn't contacted Erisa yet — probably cause he has to deal with what happened at the pack a few days ago. The Fenris pack is celebrating Nina's pregnancy. I'll keep you updated. X

Tristan: ew babies.

Accalia rolled her eyes and put her phone back down. Four days passed since they snuck into Cole's pack and left dead bodies for him to deal with. Four days since Nina and Gabriel announced their pregnancy that was welcoming news for everyone across most packs.

Hunters wouldn't reveal anything to lycans, but Tristan had divulged hints of information about their next moves in striking at the Thrax pack. It wasn't for Lycus or lycans, but Accalia. The only way they'll know if a war breaks out between hunters and wolves is if her brother tells her.

Fiddling with the back of the zipper, Accalia came close to screaming in frustration.

"Want any help with that?" Nina's sweet voice swept through the room.

Accalia peered into the full-length mirror, catching Nina's reflection and her loose white dress that pooled by her feet. She looked stunning, curls straightened passed her shoulders and a slight hue of makeup enhanced those features that exhibited a beautiful lycan.

Accalia's hands fell to her sides and nodded. "Thank you."

Nina drifted over and zipped up Accalia's dress, making a point of not touching her stitches or skin.

"When will the stitches be removed?" Nina asked, coming to Accalia's side and smoothing over her dress for her.

Accalia swept her mane of dark hair behind her back and briefly looked in the mirror. The light dress brushed over her hips and settled by her knees, fitted loosely on her body. She appreciated the fabric didn't tighten around her back.

"Soon," Accalia responded, not wanting to think about her jagged scars and revenge against Cole on such an important day.

Gabriel and Nina announcing their pregnancy had marked lycans and werewolves' bodies and souls. Finally, after centuries, the first lycan bloodline had conceived and was expecting.

A monumental day that would be celebrated and cherished.

With no attacks or threats from Cole or Zenith, the Alphas considered a quick celebration was needed. They didn't know how long the stillness of peace would last, it could be momentary, so they seized it and made tonight to have a party for allied packs to join.

"I feel like an idiot for not noticing you were pregnant," Accalia mumbled, smoothing out the creases of her dress and avoiding the she-wolf's eye.

Nina huffed, stretching her back and brushed a hand across her belly. "No one did. I didn't start showing till recently and it was difficult to tell Gabriel with a war upon us."

Accalia recoiled, a pang of guilt hitting her chest from knowing there would be no way out of the throngs of war with Alphas. Zenith and Cole wouldn't stop, so no one else could either.

"Do you want a boy or a girl?" Accalia asked curiously. She never put much thought into kids, let alone baring them and the struggles that came along with it. If anything, it steered her further away from the journey of motherhood.

"Both," Nina beamed, a glow descending upon her skin and her cheeks warming at the consideration. "I have a lot of siblings. Some will be coming here tonight. I've always wanted a big family. It's just with Gabriel — it took him a while to consider the idea of kids, especially with what happened with him and his brothers."
