She never wanted to be popular. It was never her thing.

She was dragged in it by her best from young years who, once they went to an upper school, became really popular and took her with her.

Now, neither of them want to be popular anymore. Good that it's already the last year of school.

"Honestly, they're all so pathetic." Romeo says as the four friends make their way to school.

Out of the "popular" group in the school, Andrea, Carla, were the closest, being best friends since forever and Romeo and Ada tagging along but also having their own group of friends.

"I know right? I bet even their parents think they're weird." Ada says, smirking as she looked towards a group of four boys in their year.

"Ha! Imagine." Romeo laughs out loud.

The four walk through the gate of the school and are immediately greeted by the loudness of everyone speaking with each other.

Romeo spots his group of boyfriends and goes to them. Ada spots her group of even more popular friends and also leaves for them.

"Ugh, nine more months of this popular nonsense." Carla complained as the two went inside the school. "Why did I have to be obsessed with being popular?"

"All these are people are so basic, aren't they?" Andrea asks. "Also, they make fun of every single person they lay eyes on. Honestly, people, just mind your own business."

"Look at Torchio's socks and sandals today." Carla says, looking at the same three boys in their year that Ada and Romeo made fun of just minutes earlier walk into the school. "Love the guy, honestly."

"You've never even talked to him!" Andrea laughed.

"Well don't blame me, I'm not trying to be rude but he's pretty weird." Carla says, turning to her best friend. "I mean don't get me wrong, I think the socks with sandals and those pigtails are iconic but they're a bit weird too, no?"

"Well, I suppose it's not really something you see everyday." Andrea says, looking and the boy with long, dark hair, who walks by with his three friends.

"I think all four of them are, let's say, quite peculiar." Carla whispers to Andrea. "Mhm, I just remembered. You going to Romeo's party after school? Apparently his parents are on a business trip and his sister is away on a holiday so he's got the house to himself. Also, it's Friday night."

"How could I not? He'd be all up my ass if I didn't go." Andrea says and Carla laughs. "The whole year is practically invited."

Andrea looks at the boy with the blue and purple tie dye shirt, he looks back and her and immediately turns away. She sees him turn slightly pink on his cheeks.

The bell for the first lesson goes and everyone slowly gets to their lesson.

The day goes by fast and, before Andrea knows it, she's putting on red lipstick and retouching her hair.

She's got a black corset top on and a pair of dark blue jeans with black leather boots on. It's still very warm in Rome even though it's the beginning of October.

She leaves her house and meets with Carla on her way to Romeo's house. She's wearing a black top that she's tied at the back and white jeans.

You can hear the music coming from Romeo's house many metres away. His neighbours must hate him.

Andrea and Carla walk up the steps to Romeo's house, the music bursting their ear drums already.

"Hey! I thought you two wouldn't come!" Romeo shouted to Andrea and Carla over the loud music. "Come on, we're about to play truth or dare. I was just getting some drinks."

He leads the two girls upstairs and through the large number of people. He walks to his room and opens the door. You can hear the music from downstairs, might you even say it's louder than downstairs.

There in a circle are already five people. Ada, sitting on her boyfriend's lap and kissing him, those two can never keep away from each other, two boys and one girl.

"Look who it is!" Romeo exclaimed and everyone turned to them. "The two lost birds finally arrived."

"Don't exaggerate, we're only half an hour late." Andrea said, annoyed.

"Still not on time, huh?" Mattia, one of the boys sat in the circle and Andrea's friend said.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." Carla joked.

They joined the circle and Romeo put a glass bottle in the middle.

"Alright, you spin and whoever it lands on you ask them truth or dare." Romeo cleared the rules and everyone nodded.

He spined the bottle first and it landed on Matteo, one of their friends.

"Truth or dare?" Romeo asked.

"Truth." Matteo said and everyone moaned.

"Way to start the game, Matteo!" Carla exclaimed.

"Alright, fine. Dare." Matteo said.

"I dare you to kiss the person you like most in this circle." Romeo says, smirking.

Everyone let out an 'ooh'. Most people knew who he'd kiss. The two had something between them that neither were brave enough to do anything about for years.

"Well, this is about to get juicy." Ada said, smiling excitedly.

Matteo got onto his knees and shuffled around the circle a couple times, building suspense.

"Come on, Teo!" Mattia exclaimed.

He eventually stopped in front of Andrea and kissed her, passionately.

The circle erupted into whistles, claps and cheers.

Although Matteo wanted the kiss to go on for longer, Andrea pulled away after a few seconds.

He turned to everyone, his lips lightly covered with red lipstick. Everyone laughed.

"That was something for sure." Vittoria, their friend, said.

"I know, right?" Ada agreed. "Who knew Andrea had it in her." She smirked at Andrea.

The game carried on and it was Andrea's turn.

"Dare." Andrea said.

"Hm," Romeo thought for a moment and then smiled. "I dare you to date Torchio. Make him fall for you and ask you to be his girlfriend."

The circle burst into 'ooh's for the hundredth time that night.

"Ethan Torchio?" Andrea said.

"Yes, exactly him. You asked for a dare so I gave you a dare." Romeo said.

"Yeah, no way, Romeo." Andrea said. "That's cruel, I can't just do that."

"A dare is a dare, my friend. Start on Monday. I give you a month." Romeo said.

The party flew by and soon Andrea and Carla were getting into a taxi to go home.

"Are you actually going to do it?" Carla asked

"Do what?" asked Andrea.

"You know, the dare." Carla said, looking at Andrea.

"Well, I suppose I have to. A dare is a dare after all."
