You know who I am. The girl who saved the galaxy when she was sixteen. You don't know her backstory, though, do you? Well, here it is.
When the Black Swan was creating me one day, in the hopes of helping Sophie Foster along her journey, there was a knock at the door. Everyone froze. No one was supposed to be able to find them.
"I know what you're doing in there," Rachel Elizabeth Dare called quietly. No one spoke. "The girl must have this in her." A small clear square slid under the crack in the door. "It's a few strands of DNA," Rachel explained. "She must have this if she shall fulfill her prophecy. That's all I can tell you." Everyone could hear her walking away. No one knew what to do for a second. Then, they started clearing their spaces for a bit, and they pulled out tools to start analyzing the DNA. No one knew that Rachel was telling the truth.
Around two hours later, there was a piece of paper filled with notes.
DNA From: Unknown
Powers: Some sort of organism in the cells. There are several thousand of these, perhaps, 21 thousand. That is our best estimate
Dangers: Possible
Use? Maybe
Why — there may be dangers in this DNA. We don't know what this "prophecy" is, we only know the prophecy for her in the Lost Cities. She may be a help to other possible worlds, however, we do not know.
UPDATE: We are using this DNA. After mass conferring and more analysis, we have concluded that she needs this. Our best Technopath, [REDACTED FOR SECURITY], has hacked into a secret database here on Earth. It shows someone named Shmi Skywalker, and she doesn't live here on this planet, which is quite odd, but the DNA strings match. We will use it as a side effect to her powers if this is possible.
UPDATE TWO: We have found out that this DNA will make her a person to wield an ancient Force. We don't know what exactly this Force is, but we do know that it will help her in her journey. It is also enough DNA to make this person her mother. We are deciding if this person will indeed be her biological mother.
UPDATE THREE: Shmi Skywalker will be Project Alicorn's biological mother. Another meeting proved that three of our five Collective members have voted to make this woman her biological mother if she knows at all.
This is probably the Collective's most powerful move, and most reckless, considering they had no idea who Shmi Skywalker was. I think that Granite, Squall, and Forkle probably voted for it. I wonder which Forkle because while they look the same, they're a tiny bit different in personality...
Another DNA message came through, and it was hand delivered by Rachel.
"I'm sorry for disturbing you yet again," Rachel apologized. "A few strands of DNA. It comes from a man, a very, very powerful man. He might have been mixed up, but this will make her very important. If she has this in her, it will truly unite the most powerful worlds." Another clear square slid under the crack in the door. She walked away yet again.
Fast forward three hours later this time, there was a piece of paper filled with more notes.
DNA From: Unknown
Powers: Very powerful shadows
Dangers: Definite
Use? Maybe
Why — There are DEFINITE dangers in this DNA. However, we don't know if this will cause harm to the girl or help.
UPDATE: We are using this DNA. After mass conferring and more analysis, we have concluded that she needs this. Our best Technopath, [REDACTED FOR SECURITY], has hacked into a DIFFERENT secret database here on Earth. It shows someone named Hades, and we have gathered information that he is some sort of god. He lives deep underground, and is probably the god of the Underworld, according to popular mortal myths. However, we still know if this is true or not.
UPDATE TWO: Hades will be Project Alicorn's biological father, whether he is a god or not. Another meeting proved that three of our five Collective members have voted to make this man her biological father if he knows at all.
Who knew that Forkle would let Hades's DNA into me? Maybe they tested it out or something...
Within the next few months, someone sat behind a desk in a fertility office, Livvy. The two people that she was speaking with were my sort-of-adoptive parents, Hades and Keres Griffin. Well, at least Keres was. It's really weird, Hades is my adoptive dad and my biological dad. My sort-of-adoptive mother, Keres, had dark red hair, dark brown eyes, pale skin, was Asian, and was quite beautiful in a mysterious way. I could see why Hades liked her.
One day, several months later, Keres was crying at the kitchen table while baby me played by myself. I knew exactly what she was crying about. Someone had mentioned my dad, Hades. See, after Hades left us due to the duties of the Underworld, my mother had kind of broken inside. She was now crying about a good two hours a day about my father and I hadn't even known because I was too young to remember. Wait a minute... no, I wasn't playing. I was practicing Form III, Soresu, of the seven lightsaber forms, using a play stick. Someone, probably Rachel, had implanted memories into Shmi's mind, memories that she won't ever remember.
