Gone Too Far; Draco Malfoy

Mystery Girl

It's only been one week into school and things are already starting to happen again, I've only just gotten settled in and caught up with Hermione and Ron and now Dumbledore is calling all the students down to he great hall from an important massage.

There are rumors going around of what is so important that the head master had to pull us all out of class in the middle of the week for, some say I'm finally getting suspended obviously this rumor started from the Slytherin house they all hate me, another is that a person is joining the school unlikely but possible although it has never happened before, and another that a grand event is going to be hosted here at Hogwarts, I wish for none of these this to be true I just want a normal life, but I can have that being the "chosen one".

"Harry!" Hermione called from behind me, I stopped so she can catch up to me, "I heard what people are saying" she said putting a hand on my shoulder, "you don't think professor Dumbledore would do that to you infront of everyone?" She asked, "are you joking of course he would do that" Ron argued for the other side of me, "I hope not" I added, "I hope it none of what people are talking about" I said to them a we pushed open the doors to the great hall.

We started heading to our table when Malfoy and his gang of Slytherin's pushed through us almost making Hermione drop all of her books, I grabbed ahold of her to make sure she didn't drop nothing and make sure she didn't fall her self, "out of the way Potter!" Theodore Nott called out looking back at us then Malfoy turned, "from what I hear this is your last day" he snickered, I huffed almost hoping it was true to leave this all behind and live my life with my god father Sirius Black.

We ignored the Slytherin's and took our seats at the Gryffindor table with the Ravenclaw table infront of us and the Slytherin table behind. After waiting a little while until everyone found there way to the great hall Dumbledore finally took his place at the podium at the front of the hall and cleared his throat and everyone went quite and placed their attention onto him.

"I've called you all here today at this time to deliver two great news" he starts, "you may have already suspected these and I would like to say they are true" he announced, Ron shot up out of his seat next to me I grabbed him and pulled him back down I don't need to be anymore embarrassed then I will be.

"I would like to introduce our new student Layla Venus Blake" Dumbledore announced a new student with the most interesting names I've ever heard, the great hall doors open and everyone turned their heads to get a good look at the new student, she started to walk into the great hall I could tell she was trying not to get a good look while everyone was trying to do the same to her, I looks like she's trying not to let it bother her she walks with his shoulders back and chin up trying to look confident, I know what it's like for everyone to be watching your every move, I feel like I can't relate to her even know I don't know her.

From what I can see she's not too tall about 5'7" I would say, medium almost long hair tied back in the low pony tie, he hair looks to have some dyed blonde sections but her natural hair looks to be light chocolate brown, her eyes look to be light hazel with a hit of green, her nose is a bit pink and her lips too she doesn't seem to really care what people think she looks like since she looks to have a uncommon style in clothing.

"Potter!" I heard my name being called from behind me, I tuned to look who it was, a tall slender blonde slytherin Draco Malfoy was leaned down beside me, "don't even bother with her, she'll be Slytherin" Malfoy said, "she's ours" he said walking back to his seat, all the other boys in his gang nodding their heads, Pansy Parkinson looking a bit peed off that her eye candy has his attention on someone that's not her.

I rolled my eyes and look back towards the front, "don't worry Harry" Hermione said leaning over to whisper to me, "only the hat decides what house she will be in" she assured me, I nodded and noticed she was already at the front. She sat on the old wooden stool I sat upon four year ago when I was 13 year old, professor McGonagall walked over to her and placed the hat one her head.

"Ummm, I see" the hat chanted, "no, uh that won't work" it continued, "yes!" I practically screamed with excitement, "I know except where to put you...." It said and pause for dramatic effect, "Slytherin!!" It called out and Slytherin house behind me started screaming with excitement and clapping and cheers, then there it was the I told you so I was expecting, "I told you Potter" Malfoy said from his seat at the girl walk over and sat a few people down from him, the girls around her bombarding her with questions.

"What year are you?" One asked, "fourth year" she responded, "got any family?" Another asked, "nope just me, but I do have people I stay with I consider them family" she said no hesitation, she's like me I thought warmth filling me with hope that she will even look my way so I can tell her things I've never told anyone because, she gets it I hope. "You single?" One of the slytherin boys in our year joked but I don't think I came out the way he wanted, "yes but not looking" she laughed, Merlin her laugh.

"Harry" Hermione said nudging my arm, "your staring" she warned me, I looked down, "he's not the only one, almost all the boys our age or older are" Ron said, "many the Slytherin's and the prince of Slytherin" Ron added, "yeah and it doesn't look like the good kind of stare from Malfoy, it's different then everyone else" Hermione said, "attention please!" Dumbledore called out.

"It is my pleasure to welcome Layla home to Slytherin" Dumbledore said and she nodded in thanks, "but I have another announcement to be made" he said, "this year is a very important year for Hogwarts, because we will be hosting a special event" he announced, and Filch carried or tried to a large cup, "we will be hosting the Tri Wizard Tournament, two other schools will be joining us and names of the students for a age 20 and older will be able to partake in this event" he continued but I zoned out I couldn't think about anything other then her.

I noticed the two other schools enter but I don't know what was said or announced until the very end snapping out of this trance this mystery girl has put me in, "now you all will need a place to sleep so I've place a parchment listing what houses and dorm rooms you will have" he said and before everyone can run to the list he said, "to my student since we want to make everyone as comfortable as possible the girls will all share with the boys to make room for our new friends to be with eachother".
