Warriors, The Next Chapter; Spiderpaw's Journey

Prologue

The silver she-cat sat, facing the moon as the stars twinkled above, reflecting on the surface of the pool in front of her.

"Dappledstar," A dark brown tom whispered softly as he stepped into the moonlight. Looking down into the pool to see his own reflection as well as that of the she-cat.

The silver she-cat turned around to face the tom, "What's wrong?"

"Have they spoken yet?" The tom asked quietly, his tail tapping slightly in fear.

"StarClan will speak when they want to speak Needleshadow," Dappledstar replied as she waited. The stars of her ancestors sparkled on her pelt, the faint moonlight filling the clearing.

Suddenly a swift bolt of light came down, splitting a tree in front of Dappledstar and Needleshadow. The brown tom bolted into the cover of a few trees but the silver she-cat waited.

Suddenly the figure of a dark cat ran forward, it held up the fallen tree so it wouldn't hit Dappledstar. A voice began to ring in her ears, At moon's dawn five will become six and the stars will rise.

Dappledstar looked around the clearing, the shadowy cat had disappeared, revealing two starry figures standing behind her.

"Nightstar, Stormwillow," Dappledstar greeted the starry cats.

The first, a pitch black tom dipped his head, "Dappledstar, for seasons we have told you defend your clan to the best of your ability but now, in these times, what you think must me right may be wrong."

The second, a gray tabby she-cat, looked into Dappledstar's eyes, "StarClan believes in you Dappledstar, we will guide your pawsteps through Heatherpool."

They stepped aside to reveal a lanky black tom-cat with green eyes and white stripes along his legs and back.

The two starry warriors began to fade with the shadow cat and Dappledstar got to her paws. "No wait! You never told me what I might think is right is truly wrong!" She wailed as the warriors of StarClan disappeared.

We will watch over you and your clan Dappledstar. Always.
