Donald Trump, the President of the United States had just finished giving a speech to over a thousand people who were all his supporters in a park outside of the White House. It was cloudy and cold which was expected for early January.
He retreated into a large tent behind the stage that was set up on the Eclipse where family members and staff had gathered to watch him speak.
United States Secret Service agent Robert "Bobby" Engel, wearing a coat over his black suit with his earpiece strapped to his left ear was being notified about a breach of the Capitol during the certification of electoral votes. Trump believed that the election was stolen and wanted to win a 2nd term as president, but in reality, Joe Biden would become the 46th president of the United States. Trump urged his supporters (many of them were members of violent organizations) to go to the Capitol and overturn election results and that he would personally join them.
Bobby Engel and the rest of the President's protection team were escorting Trump to a heavily armored Chevrolet Suburban to take him back to the White House, as the Capitol was being rampaged and was not secure.
Elton John's Tiny Dancer blared over loudspeakers as Bobby got in the front seat of the SUV with Trump sitting in the back.
He placed his finger to his earpiece as nonstop chatter was being sent to Secret Service radio channels.
Trump was getting impatient as Bobby told his fellow agent driving the car that the Capitol was being stormed and ransacked and was no longer secure. They were going back to the White House.
The lead guard of the Presidential Protective Division faced the back of the car and told the now irate president that they were taking him back to the White House instead of the Capitol. "Sir, we do not have the assets to go to the Capitol. It's not secure.", Bobby said in a firm voice. Trump was now becoming angry. "What do you mean it's not secure?? I'm the fucking president. Take me to the Capitol NOW!"
As Bobby Engel turned around in his seat, he suddenly felt a pair of hands around his neck. The President of the United States was trying to choke him. Bobby was trying so hard not to throw up as Trump let go of his grip and grasped the wheel of the car attempting to take control to reroute it to the Capitol.
"Sir, please take your hands off the steering wheel. We're going back to the West Wing."
