After continuous periods of use strong migraines and nausea can be brought to the user, the longest recorded time with continuous use and no migraines is 8 hours.
When used, previously damaged tissue will have a glow, the brightness varying depending on the severity of the wound, something like a small scratch on the knee might have a nearly unnoticeable glow while something that has cut through to the bone can shine very brightly, roughly that of a powerful flood light.
