"You're good to go, Agent George," the doctor declared, and the brunette thanked him with a smile.
When George exited the hospital, he saw Fruitberries waiting outside to drive him home.
"Fundy, 5up, and Dream have disappeared. They took all the pills we had with them." Fruitberries informed George who merely hummed his reply.
The agent then remembered the note that Dream had given him, and he handed it to his chief when they stopped at a red light. Fruitberries quirked up an eyebrow as he read it, then asked if George wouldn't mind taking a little detour.
They stopped at a blood bank where Fruit presented his badge, and talked to one of the workers. The worker disappeared only to come back with an ice box, which Fruitberries thanked him for.
Fruit then drove them both to a building located near George's apartment.
"What are we doing here chief?" the brunette asked.
"You'll see..." came the reply as they entered.
Fruitberries led George to the basement, where the chief showed his face to the security camera. A buzzing noise sounded as the door opened, and George gasped as he surveyed the state-of-the-art lab in front of him.
"This lab is not connected to the agency, but I do own it. This is where we made the pills for the Underdogs." Fruit explained.
"Hey boss!" a woman greeted.
"Hello Puffy," Fruit greeted back.
"George this is Captain Puffy, she is the lead researcher of this lab." Fruit placed the ice box down on a table before introducing George to the rest of the team.
"This is Foolish and Slimecicle, they work under Puffy."
"Nice to meet you," George said, and the team greeted him back with smiles.
"So what have you got for us today boss?" Slimecicle asked.
Fruitberries then lifted the lid of the box and pulled out several tubes of blood.
"Is that..." George started to ask and the chief nodded.
"It's Dream's blood, if we compare his blood to that of the children who died, we may just find a cure. We stopped experimenting after the last underdog died, but now we must try again to save Fundy and 5up." Fruitberries explained.
"Allow me chief!" Slimecicle yelled cheerfully as he practically lunged himself at the vials, but Fruitberries pulled it beyond his reach.
"Ah...I think I'll let you handle this Foolish," he said and Foolish nodded his reply.
George watched as the researchers dashed from table to table, quickly comparing notes and making theories.
The brunette smiled inwardly, don't worry Dream, we'll find a way to save your friends.

One Year later:)

A rather well-built man chuckles as a woman drapes herself against his side seductively. The room is dimly lit, but well enough for the card game that was currently happening.
"I must say, young man, you are as good at cards as you are with your gun. Your skills even surpass my best men. I'm willing to offer you a job... are you interested?" the man asked.
Perhaps it was because he had a lot to drink, or the fact that he was surrounded by his bodyguards that made him so relaxed.
His blonde opponent hummed as if deep in thought, before adding a few more chips to his bet.
