"Tidal!" Emburn called out, but her voice was lost when another gunshot filled the air. She still pressed her paws over her ears to suppress the loud bang; having sensitive ears had its downsides.
What was Tidal thinking going into the fight alone? Sure, Emburn believed he knew what he was doing, but she wanted to help. She was tired of standing aside and watching. Of course, Tidal was better at combat than she was; she could at least try to help.
Emburn lept over the bramble bushes, claws extended, and landed on the army lady before she could fire another bullet. The sudden weight caused the enemy to lose balance. Emburn jumped out of the way, thinking the soldier would fall back. She instead regained balance and whipped around to face her attacker. Emburn let again, aiming to tear free her primary weapon from her grip. The lady was quite strong; Emburn tugged and lashed at her hands, but she was able to pull back and jab the Iumi with the end of the gun. She wheezed from the impact and looked up at the enemy. With her hands bleeding from the cuts Emburn left, she lifted the rifle. Emburn didn't take any chances. She jumped from one side to the other and knocked into the army woman. The soldier stumbled to the side, the gun held loosely in her hands. Emburn rushed forward, grabbing the gun as she ran. She whipped to face the army woman, a split second to aim, and pulled the trigger. The gun lurched and the loud sound left Emburn's ears painfully ringing; it was difficult to hear anything else. The enemy dropped in an instant, a pool of blood forming beneath her. That battle was much more difficult than the first one. Yet, she was still standing; alive.
The battle wasn't over, though. There were still three competitors that needed to be defeated. Tidal's iron sword had connected with the other guy's diamond one and it wasn't going well. The enemy was putting all his weight onto his sword, causing Tidal's to gradually push back to ward himself. One wrong move and Tidal was done for. Emburn wouldn't dare use her new weapon; she didn't want to accidentally shoot her teammate. She quickly strapped the gun to her back by adjusting the belt over one of her shoulders and bounded as fast as she could toward Tidal's aid. Of course, she had forgotten about Danita and the other enemy's partner. The enemy lady had pushed Danita back, knocking her into Emburn. She let out a hiss; she didn't have time for this. Out of instinct, she quickly snapped Danita's neck- the most efficient killing move- and got up to continue running toward the two struggling competitors. She almost forgot about the other lady. Dhr saw her in the corner of her eye coming straight for her with her iron sword glinting in the bright light.
Emburn skidded to a stop and turned to face the coming enemy, shoulder fur bristling. She jumped out of the way as the enemy swung her sword at her. In return, Emburn slashed her claws at her though she dodged easily. The Iumi quickly whipped out her sword to meet the other's, blocking the attack. But with ine swift move, the opposing lady knocked the sword out of her paws. This left her to rely on her claws. The two traded attacks, the opponent dodging. Mayhe putting that gun away was a bad idea. She was unable to get a fair distance from her current enemy so she could pill it back out and shoot her just like she had done to the soldier.
As Emburn dodged another swing from the sword, she was able to get a small glance at Tidal and his opponent. She wasn't surprised to see Tidal found a way out of the problem.
Wait. Something had moved from a far distance swung her sword, Emburn ducked and jumped back up to try and kick her in the gut. The woman jumped back before she could. Emburn turned back to see what it was that she saw but her opponent was coming at her fast. It annoyed her just like when the creepers would explode and leave giant craters in the garden back home. Although, before either of them attacked, a rather quiet gunshot could be heard and something landed in the ground next to them. Emburn didn't need to see what it was; he got as far back as she could. The TNT exploded, followed by another and another. The wave of the explosion swept Emburn off her paws slightly, though she regained balance after a bit of a stumble. Dirt had flown everywhere, small flames here and there, and a large cluster of cobwebs in the center. Her opponent had been swept off her feet entirely. She lay on her back with a leg stuck in the cobwebs, both sticks of TNT from her belt exploded when the first did. Yet, how wasn't she dead? She sat up, slightly stunned, a large scorch mark on the right side of her face. This would've been the best time to attack, although Emburn hesitated. What if it was a trick?
A third team had joined the battle, both male. One had thick, curly brown hair covered by an orange beanie, his eyes brown. He was wearing a white T-shirt with a purple jacket overtop and light grey sweatpants with ordinary white Nike shoes. He also had two belts crossing over his chest holding a dagger, bullets, and two dual blades. His teammate was bald with sharp blue eyes, wearing a big blue and white striped scarf that cover his mouth and nose. He wore a sleeveless black shirt and blue camo pants layered with pockets, bulky black boots protecting his feet. He had a backpack held on his back just like Tidal did, a belt around his waist consisting of a first-aid kit, a grenade, and multiple throwing knives. He even had to small pistols at both sides. Both these new rivals had full chainmail armor. Well, the bald one didn't have a helmet. Where were these people getting such great stuff?
As the bald man and his partner attacked the four of them in sync, Emburn went ahead and his behind a boulder behind her. There was no way they could take in four enemies at once. She glanced at Tidal who had snuck out if the fight unnoticed and waved for her to follow. One look over her shoulder to see if her opponent wouldn't notice her escape before she quickly grabbed her iron sword that lay on the ground on the other side of the boulder. She ran after her friend, her sword still at hand. So what if they technically lost the fight? They survived a second time. Barely. Luckily. The two of them left the battle unseen, leaving behind the loud clangs of blade against blade. They had much to catch up on.
