1 - Reaper of Cookies and Milk

Dad finally let her go to Vale by herself! Why is he always so paranoid, it wasn't like a Black Diablos was going to suddenly appear the second him or her sister let her out of their sights, she was a grown girl now, she drank MILK! Well he did kinda let her leave without much of a fuss... Did he believe she was a big girl now? Of course he does, the milk must have been the solution after all!

As she caught sight of her favorite store, 'From Dust Til Dawn', she got excited thinking of the comics she was going to read like, 'Fullmetal Hunter' or 'Attack On Monster', she was a big girl now, she wasn't going to read 'Little Red and the Big Bad Zinogre', even if it sounded good, and she was not going to read 'Uzumaki: Road to G-Rank', 'My Hunter Academia', or 'One Hunter', she grew past those, and never 'Jaggi Slayer', never again, please no more Jaggi Slayer. The best part about the store that it is ran by Mr. Jenkins, who  runs multiple stores all across Vale, and while she doesn't know how he is able to run them all at the same time, she does know that he never seems to notice her reading the comics while listening to music in the back of the store.

As Ruby enters the store she doesn't seem to notice the pair of eyes following her every move.

-Sometime later-

So I was just reading Hunter's Weekly when BOOM

"Relax, I'm not here for your money, even if you're filthy rich. Boys, grab the dust." The ginger one said, looking quite dapper, even if it looks like he applied way to much eyeliner.

"Hey girlie, put em up." One of the grunts says while pointing his.... bright red machete at me? Jeez these guys need to get some style.

"Are you robbing me?" I need to stall for backup, thankfully he hasn't spotted my Accel Axe.

"YES!" The exasperated grunt replies, right before I launch him through the window using my Accel Axe, but he pulls me along with him.

"Oum damnit we got a little girl playing hero with a basic-ass fucking iron Accel Axe." The ginger with way to much eyeliner says.

"The name's Roman Torchwick, charmed I'm sure, now how about you fuck off and mind your own business?" He says while twiriling his.... Cane insect glaive?

"They robbed me first and no I will not leave and also OMG YOU HAVE SUCH A COOL WE-" He cuts me off by firing some kind of flare at me from his insect glaive, how rude!

But I dodge easily and counter with a swing from my Accel Axe, which just bounces off him????

It looks like Bnahabra Armor, maybe its high-rank?

Uh-oh.

He quickly retaliates with multiple quick jabs, which I dodge but what I don't dodge is a swift roundhouse kick to the head, which naturally knocks me to the ground. He keeps attacking, trying to stab at my neck, but I quickly escape with a discharge from my trusty Accel Axe.

It seems he doesn't want to lose his grunts, understandable, but annoying, I could take multiple of them on but he is good, I can't beat him, I need to stall.

With two discharges I am right behind him, and with another discharge to amplify the speed and strength of my swing, he is forced to block lest he wants broken bones. He swiftly turns around and deflects my swing off-course and attempts to stab at my lower abdomen, but he fails as I use my semblance to swiftly retreat, within minimal Aura lost. I quickly reload my Accel Axe and I watch him carefully, help should arrive soon, I just need to stall.

He raises his glaive, and fires another flare, with two discharges I evade to his location, but he's gone. Looking around I see a ladder and him climbing it, but how did he get over there so fast? Is his semblance speed? Doesn't matter, I must continue the chase.

When I finally got to the top of the ladder I saw Roman entering a Bullhead.

"End of the line little red, my goons are scattering, and I've basically already escaped with minimal losses." I am I big girl now, I can help stop him!

He holds a red crystal up before tossing it at my feet before aiming his glaive at it and-

Before he could fire at the dust crystal I activated my semblance and quickly appeared in front of him, but he merely swatted me back and fired at the crystal anyways.

'This is it, dad was right wasn't he?.." My final thoughts before death, or so it seemed.

But them a lady appeared, a hunter, the backup, Glynda Goodwitch, a teacher at Beacon.

She used her semblance to block the flare and send the dust flying at the Bullhead....

But it wasn't there anymore.

She tries to pull him in with her semblance but the door had already closed, and she could not stop the Bullhead from flying away...

I'm in trouble aren't I?

-an indefinite amount of time later-

-

She was in trouble.

"What you did was reckless! Using a hunter weapon in a public space, you could have hit an innocent bystander! If it were up to me I would bend you over my knee and show you what for, at least until you behaved." Did she not see how that could be taken wrong? Although her dad and sister always called her innocent, she knows about those kinds of things, and she feels uncomfortable being near the huntress named Glynda.

"But sadly you will not be punished tonight, because someone wants to see you." She seems to perpetually have a scowl, she needs to smile more.

Suddenly an old man walked out from the shadows, his hair grayed from his many years on remnant, his cool cane. As he approached he placed a plate of chocolate chip cookies down on the table in front of her.

"Ruby Rose, You... have silver eyes.." Jeez, can't be more of a weirdo can you?

"While what you did was reckless, it was also quite admirable, you stood your ground against Roman Torchwick long enough for backup to arrive." He says as she starts devouring the yummy cookies.

"That alone is impressive, but you also prevented civilian casualties, in my opinion you have what it takes to be a great huntress, so would you like to join Beacon?" Wait what did the weird old guy say?

"Huh?"

"I am asking if you would like to enroll into Beacon Academy this year." Error Ruby_Rose.exe has stopped responding

"YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!"

-Meanwhile on a nearby rooftop-

Ozpin had finally approached Ruby with the offer, I have done my best, is this what you would have wanted, have I done good?

Wherever you are, we still love you, Summer....

A/n: Most character's weapons will work the same or similar to monster hunter, some characters have 'modified' their weapons or had it modified so that it works slightly differently however with drawbacks, for example Romans Melodic Cudgel cannot use insect glaives at all but can launch mini barrel bomb, flares (His normal projectile), flash bombs, sonic bombs, paintballs, and dung bombs. 

Also no characters will be changed to become felynes, instead felynes (and melynxes!) will be introduced as OCs, and there will be backstories for each of them, some villains like Roman and Neo will get more developed backstories.

 I will not be following canon from volume 8 onwards because I have not watched it and have no desire to. If I do watch it I will only use some parts because some of it kinda sucks. 

Also I will try to reach 1k words per chapter on all my stories as well as update once a month.
