"Listen I know how to help you guys"
"El we can't ask you to do that, You don't even know us."
"But I know that you are Mike's friends and I know what you are going through." We sat and came up with a plan for a few hours. Eventually, we all got too tired and fell asleep.
*The next day*
"Wake up we have to get this figured out."
"Get what figured out?" Eddie asked sleepily.
"We have to get everyone together""WHY WHAT IS HAPPENING"
"JUST SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO US" Eddie grabbed his stuff off the table as me, El, and Hopper gathered some money and stuff that we'd need. We ran out the door, piling into Hopper's truck. We drove to Joyce's house and everyone was already there.
"Finally y'all are here, I thought you wanted to do something and then you took 3 years."
"Nancy. You know what never mind. Listen I think we have a plan."
"Well, what is it?"
"El?"
"Max and Nancy's ideas about moving in to trap him from different directions are the best ones we have. We will group up and approach him, but I have to take him down. We'll have Eddie, Heather, Dustin, and Mike will enter through the gate at Eddie's trailer. They will distract the demobats. Then, Steve, Nancy, Johnathan and Robin will enter through that gate too and go to the Creel House. Max, Lucas, Erica, and Will, can stay in Hawkins at the Creel House and I'll go with them. Hop and Joyce will go with Steve's group for extra help."
"The only problem is" Steve began.
"We need weapons." I finished his sentence for him.
"Where are we supposed to get weapons to kill this monster thing?"
"What if I said I know a place?"
"Where?"
"It's called Warzone. I've been there a few times with Wayne. They've got guns, grenades, dynamite, pretty much anything."
"Good, even great idea but how do you think we'll get there? Ride our bikes?"
"What if I said I have a way but it's risky?"
"What? You got some secret car we don't know about?"
"Something like that."
"Something like that?" Eddie smirked back at Steve and we all gathered our backpacks and things we need.
"Hey uh Red," he gestured towards Max. "You got a ski mask or something?"
"Something like that" She replied, mocking him. She ran to her room and returned with a Michael Myers mask. I remember when she dressed up like him for Halloween in 1984. He snickered and we ran out of the trailer. He led us through the trailer park and we finally got to an RV. He opened the window and slid in. The rest of us climbed in too. He threw himself into the drivers seat, trying to jump start the vehicle. Steve approached him and Robin followed close behind.
"Um with all do respect Eddie I don't really feel comfortable with you driving."
"Oh I'm just starting this sucker. Harrington's got her, don't ya big boy?" She smirked at Steve. Robin backed away and sat down in the back. All the kids found a seat and Eddie finally got it started. Steve sat down and sped off. We made our way to Warzone and for some reason the car ride was slightly awkward.
"Hey listen it's ok Heather. We're going to be ok. I promise."
"Okay." I responded, straight faced, not really caring for his sympathy. I didn't not like him, there was just too much going on and I couldn't be very enthusiastic. We shortly arrived to the store.
"Listen. Lucas, Heather, and Eddie, you three definitely need to stay in the car. Max, El, Mike, and Will you guys stay too. Erica, Robin, Nancy, Dustin, and I will be going in and grabbing a bunch of stuff and then coming straight out. No one leave the RV and if anyone walks by duck. Yes?" We all nodded in agreement and the group walked out of the RV. I was still so anxious. Even if we pull this whole "buying weapons" thing off, we still have to battle Vecna, and me and Eddie having a first-hand experience with him doesn't exactly make it better. I was so nervous I felt like I was going to explode. I just couldn't imagine how anxious Eddie was.
Most of the time we were in the RV I was zoned out. Not paying attention to my surroundings. After a few minutes the group came running back to the RV with weapons. Steve threw his stuff down and jumped in the drivers seat starting the vehicle.
"EVERYONE HOLD ONTO SOMETHING" he yelled as he sped out of the parking lot. We sat in silence until we got to a field. We unloaded and split into groups, beginning to work on our weapons. Me, Eddie, and Dustin sat down to work on shoving spikes through our trash can lids. Eddie looked pale and his eyes were bloodshot.
"Hey Dustin can you go look for some more work for us please?" He nodded and ran off. Eddie kept his head sunk down looking at the ground. I walked over and sat down between his legs. "Hey. Please don't cry I can't stand to see you cry. Just tell me what's wrong."
"I don't want to lose you." I looked up, as did he, us locking eyes. In the moment, he broke. The tears that were collecting in his eyes began to pour onto his face. The slight sniffles at the end of his whimpers filled the air.
"Woah woah, hey you will never lose me. Even if you tried to lose me, I'm never going to leave you alone. Seriously I'm crazy." He chuckled slightly.
"I just. I love you and I've never felt like this before about anyone. Literally ANYONE" He sniffled.
"I love you too but I'm not leaving you I promise. Come here, I'm right here. I'm not leaving." He hid his face in the crook of my neck. After what seemed like ages he moved his head. I wiped the tears off of his face.
"I love you Heather. I swear to God, I will NEVER love anyone else but you."
"I know" I laughed.
