Operation: Helios

Prologue

Helios, an island in the north. Kaunting tao lamang ang nakakaalam ng katotohanan na itinatago ng lugar na'to. It is the only place in this world where the night does not come. The sun is alive 24/7 in this place.

Ang mga taong tumira dito ay malayo sa sibilisasyon, Solis Tribe, that's what they called them. Although they did not accept the modernization of the outside, a deal was made that allowed one outsider to visit once in 18 months, kaya sa bawat ika labing-walong buwan, the government sends one government researcher that will live there for 21 days.

But that was when the tribe still existed. A few decades ago, there was an epidemic that started inside the island which led the extinction of the tribe.

The deal was made more that 10 years before the epidemic. Only a total of seven researchers were able to enter at this duration so there were still a lot of unknowns.

Dahil sa kakaunting impormasyon lamang ang kaalaman ng gobyerno tungkol sa epidemya, they decided to restrict the island.

Rica Alfuente, she was the seventh and the last researcher who was able to enter Helios. There was no way of knowing that there would be an epidemic 18 days after she went in, it was only through her journal that they found at the shore of the island  were they able to find out what happened.

30 years had passed, and the only knowledge human kind had about the tragedy were the things written in the journal.

There are lots of theories and assumptions.

None were confirmed.

Thousands of people died, including someone sent by the government itself. It was an issue that continued to linger in  people's heart which caused never ending uprisings and debates.

Now after the latest election. The way of the government changed. Right after the new President took his oath, he immediately faced the issue that the former governments chose to turn a blind eye on.

He decided to have the tragedy investigated to find out everything that happened. Starting from the birth of the epidemic.

And this is where I come in.

I am Selene Yanissa Cuevo, and I am one of the six chosen researchers to enter Helios and find the answers on the biggest tragedy in history.
