"Hang on a second."

Scarlett tugged the sleeves of the oversized blue Duke sweater, that EJ had left at her house last night, over her hands as she knocked on Ashlyn's door. Since Valentina was coming, she had driven them both over to the redhead's house and they let themselves in once Ashlyn shouted that it was open.

Val moved to the laptop Ashlyn was sitting in front of as Scarlett moved over to EJ who was sitting on the other side of the couch. She dropped down into the seat next to him with a huff before waving at the screen with a smile, nearly everyone having already joined.

"As I was saying..." Ashlyn continued. "We've been streaming old movies."

EJ nodded. "Yeah. Watched Scary Movie last night. Ah! What a classic."

"Never heard of it," Seb answered, everyone else seeming to agree with him.

Ms Jenn clapped her hands. "Well, I wanted to tell you guys..."

Kourtney and Big Red then joined on their own screens, the girl apologising for being late whilst Red made himself known by greeting them in the same weird voice Ashlyn and EJ did just moments before.

"This is why we're soulmates."

Ms Jenn then clapped again, trying to reign in everyone's attention. "Yeah. Okay, folks. Let's focus. Now that we're all here." She paused for a minute. "Wait. No, where is..."

"Hi, everyone! I'm here, I'm here." Gina then spoke out, smiling as she pulled a familiar jacket closer around her shoulders. Scarlett turned her head to look at Val who slowly smiled back at her nervously. She turned back to her own screen, a smirk on her face. "Sorry, um, I couldn't find an outlet and my flight's delayed. Apparently, my plane has a mechanical issue, so... fun." She stuck her thumbs up with a small chuckle.

Ms Jenn leaned forward, closer to the screen. "Oh, dear! Are you safe?"

"I spent my childhood in airports. I am no damsel in distress." Gina assured, and the blonde woman nodded.

"Okay. Looks like we're only missing Ricky. Nini, have you heard from him?" She asked and Scarlett cringed as she watched the girl click her tongue. Luckily, Big Red came to her rescue.

"Uh, I think Ricky is taking some alone time or mom time... or both." He answered. "He's in Chicago."

Ms Jenn slowly nodded. "Okay. I'm sure you're wondering why I gathered you all here today. Opening night is only three weeks away, folks. That means we need to stay focused. And I know I can't..." She stopped, quickly moving to fix her mistake. "Won't make you work over the break." A few laughs echoed through the screen, as Scarlett moved to be sat crossed-legged. "But I needed to remind you, face-to-face, stakes are high. Please, for the love of theatre, do not take the word 'break' literally. Be safe." She smiled with a small chuckle. "Okay, well, have fun. Stay in touch. And now you have this link, so hop on anytime. I'm basically the queen of modern technology, so..."

Everyone started saying their goodbyes before shouting 'not it' and leaving, Scarlett and EJ scrambled forward to press the button, just like the other two girls beside them before she sighed, leaning back into the couch. "So, what are we doing."

Val stood up first, "I'm just gonna check on Gina real quick, okay?" She didn't wait for an answer, she just wandered into the hallway where it was a little quieter before Ashlyn quickly jumped up.

"Hang on!" She ran upstairs, Scarlett chuckling as she shared a confused look with EJ. A few moments later, she came bounding down the stairs holding a box full to the brim of nail polish and Scarlett grinned, walking over to the table she had dropped it onto. She looked through the huge options of colours, holding up a red one and showing it to EJ who stood behind her, looking over the top of her head.
