- AKASHI X READER -

o Y/N and Akashi have always been best friends since day one. She even joined the Teiko Basketball team to be closer with him. But everything changed when Akashi started dating her friend, Hana Nakano.

- Y/N -

I was in the gym practicing my shots with the others. Akashi watching us from afar. No. He has a girlfriend Y/N! Gain control of yourself.

I went for another shoot and it went slightly off. That didn't go unnoticed by my best friend. "Y/N, would you mind coming here for a sec?" Akashi asked. Shit-

I walked over casually. "What's wrong? And don't bother lying cause there's definitely something on your mind.." he said with a worried expression. I sighed.

"Nothing it's just my family problems- that's all.." I lied.

He looked at me questioningly cause he knows my family isn't the type to argue. But before he could ask any further his girlfriend suddenly popped out of nowhere and hugged him.

I went back to practicing. Although I kept missing cause I was too focused on the couple by the benches. UGHHH-

- Midorima -

I adjusted my glasses. "She's doing it again.." I told the others. They all looked at her and sighed in dismay. "Is she ever gonna stop torturing herself?" Daiki asked worried. "Nope." Murasakibara replied simply, stuffing a whole hot dog in his mouth.

Mannerless as usual..

I looked at Y/N and decided to go help her out a little. 

- Y/N -

I was busy MISSING ALL my shots when Midorin-chan walked over. He stood by the side of me and blocked my view of the couple. "Forget them and focus Y/N.. c'mon you're better than this" he said with a worried face.

"Alright alright.." I said. Just as the ball was leaving my hand, I saw them kissing!

My shot was completely gone. I just groaned and stormed of angrily. What a waste of time!

- Akashi -

I noticed Y/N missing some of her shots as Hana was blabbing on and on about the team's sloppiness and how bad Y/N was at playing, which was not true at all.

Wonder what's up with her. I then saw Midorima walk over to her and his height blocked my view. So I moved so I could see better. I saw Midorima help Y/N steady her body for the shot. I don't know why, but everytime he touched her, my heart ached.

"Sei-Kunnnn, you're not even paying any attention to meee" Hana wined and jumped onto me and kissed me. I didn't really enjoy the kiss like other times though.. I was too focused on Y/N.

She saw us kissing and she shot. The ball went COMPLETELY off and out the court, whereas Y/N stormed off angrily.

I pushed Hana off of me and ran after Y/N. To hell with Hana! I need to know if Y/N is okay! :(

I saw Y/N run into a corner by the vending machine. It was a dead end there- I slowly turned the corner and saw her crying on a bench. Hm..

- Y/N -

I ran to my corner and sat on the bench and started crying silently. I didn't want ANYONE to see me in this vulnerable state. I always give out this strong and dominant vibe to everyone. But the truth is I have weak spots everywhere..

"Oh Y/N.. where has the time gone.." I heard an all too familiar voice ask. I look up only to be face-to-face with THE Akashi Seijuro.

OUT OF ALL THE DAMN PEOPLE TO SEE ME THIS VULNERABLE IT JUST HAD TO BE THE PERSON WHO CAUSED IT, DIDN'T IT?!

I sniffed and mumbled, "What do you mean?.." I looked away not really wanting to know.

He sat next to me and said, "The last time I saw you crying was 5 years ago, when your mom didn't let you attend my 10th Birthday party.. you just kept crying till she dragged you to my front door and let you stay by me.." he said with a slight smile.

I looked away slightly less depressed. I still remember that though.. "Soooo.... I'm guessing this about the 'family problems' you mentioned?" he said with a cheeky smirk. I laughed lightly. "Welp you caught me.." I said, still not telling him why I was actually crying.

"Y/N just drop the act.. I hate to see you so sad.. I- I know why you're crying.." he said suddenly.

I- WHAT- 0-0

"Y-you've been like this ever since I started dating Hana.. everytime we're together your mood changes.. everytime I invite you to hang out with Hana and me, you deny or say you're too busy.." he said, looking away sadly.

I looked at him guiltily. I sighed and hugged him. That seemed to have taken him by surprise.

"The truth is.. I- I like you.. Juro-chan.." I say sadly, knowing he's going to turn me down. "You idiot.. I like you too.." he said with a smile.

"I know I'm your best friend and all that crap but- wait what-" I ask surprised. He smiled and leant in for a kiss.
