Merry Christmas I guess

A woody and oriental fragrance occupied the room. This wasn't the result of a candle scent or an aroma - Rather, Russia has used the same perfume for decades to the point that his room bonded with this signature smell.
A smell that arguably caused some troubles among human companions though. Some complained that it was apparently 'too sexy', despite Russia having this scent on him every time he passes by those same companions. Some have even applied superstitious beliefs among the room - That he was attracting a demonic figure to take advantage of this situation.
It was superficial to hear their reasoning, to say the least. It does make him wonder how they've gotten their positions if their logic was this baseless, unless they were just being spiteful.
Ah, well. No use arguing with ignorance.
"Ah..representative, sir?"
Russia opened his eyes, to see one of the interns for one of the executive departments. Seeing as the human seemed unsure of what to do, he nodded his head to approve of a conversation. "Ah- I..was sent here to inform you that Senator Philip was on his way..."
"I already knew that."
The human visibly gulped. "Ah- Ahah, did you? Well then..."
The human shifted upon his stance, presumably out of nervousness, as his eyes kept darting from paper to paper, presumably again looking for a way to continue and properly end the dry conversation. Russia continued observing. Humans sure are awkward.
"..Anatoly, correct?"
The human froze, and hesitantly looked up. He's scared. "..have you drank coffee this morning?"
The human nodded. "Then cut back on the consumption. I admire your bravery of being in my presence, but do strengthen your confidence first before drinking a beverage that heightens anxiety."
The human seemed to have froze once again. Although slowly, he looked down, and nodded.
"Then, be on your way back to the trading department."
...
Once the human left, Russia glanced over his own mug of coffee. Fortunately, countryhumans have a stronger immune system, which also means that the typical reactants that easily affect humans don't do as much as an impact towards people like him.
...probably also why countryhumans don't typically feel the need to 'sleep'. Or reproduct for that matter. Sexual arousal was hardly the case for him.
Ah, what was he thinking? How come his thoughts wandered into that?
Russia sighed and shook his head, then looked out his window, and now has he only noticed a jet plane from across the formidable sky.
And after a moment of shock, he immediately stood up and left the room.
An annoyance bubbled while he rushed towards the entrance of the Kremlin. Was this why they sent him the intern? Rather than actually giving him a notice? Despite the annoyance that arose, he patiently waited at the entrance till his secretary arrived as well. He's immediately given her a knowing look.
"Ah, representative. Where have you been?"
"Excuse me?"
The secretary snickered. "Sorry, Senator Philip came earlier than expected, so we didn't have enough time to compensate."
