After doing some thinking, I have come up with a theory about how time works in the Guppy's world in my headcanon.
Ok, so, time passes differently in the Guppy's world. While things do modernize around them, like new car and phone models, new movies, new shows, etc, the years pass by slower, meaning that, for example, someone could have an IPhone 12, even though the actual years in my stories are from about 2011 to around 2014/15.
