Y/n had a lot on her mind. More than usual. The last time she was this stressed (besides the whole traumatic event thing) was when she moved house.
House, not home.

"You're sure you want to do this?"
The girl looked around her old room, taking it in one last time. She turned to her companion with a knowing smile."Yeah. I'm sure Rob."
"Really? Cause you know my parents are happy to let you stay for longer, forever even, and I'm here and-"
"Rob!"
He looked up at Y/n. He didn't understand why she was so insistent on moving. She was family now, at least to him. She was only sixteen, and she still hadn't gone to school. He didn't know why she kept pushing them away.
"Stop worrying. I know what I'm doing."
"I'm not worrying! Why would I be worrying?"
She sighed. "Seriously, you've done enough-"
"Yeah, but that's the thing. You've been living here for what, two years now? But we still barely know you. You don't have any hobbies or interests, you don't go to school, you don't talk about your past much-"
"Ok, I get it. Thanks for the confidence vote."
"All I'm saying is that we still want to help you as much as we can. But we can't do that if your off in the city on your own."He gently held her by the shoulders.
"Please. Please don't go."

Y/n stopped herself from remembering any more. Now wasn't the time to get all soppy. Still, she couldn't help but feel bad, especially after taking off for the tournament. She decided she'd better call him once she got back to Ninjago. Once she got her closure.
She couldn't do much to help with the engine, not without getting caught. So instead, she stayed under the drape and helped with the tests. Zane was stood with her, noting everything down in his...files? She was still a little confused about this guy.
"May I ask you something Y/n?"
"Sure?"
"What do you know about my friends?"
"Uh, what?"He shifted uncomfortably.
"Some of my data files are still out of sorts, and I'm struggling to remember things about my friends. But I do not wish to worry them with this information."
Y/n raised an eyebrow. "O... kay.... what do you remember then? We can start there."
He paused for a moment as if digging through his mind. "I remember Kai likes putting chemicals in his hair."
She tried so hard not to burst out laughing. "You mean hair gel?"
"Yes! He had a whole cupboard full of it!"
She sniggered to herself. "Yep, that explains a lot."
Zane looked confused but brushed it off. "He was very angry when Jay started dating Nya." He pondered to himself for a moment. "I hope they're still compatible."
Y/n's face fell. "He doesn't know."
"Ah, well, they.... broke up. It kind of fell apart for them."
Zane stared at her, then leaned up against the engine. "Why don't I remember that?"
"Hey, no one blames you. It's not your fault."
