A/N: For my friends birthday today, I wanted to do something special for her. There isn't much I can do being so many states away, but what I can do is dedicate my work to her.
This book -- as it is now and as it will be when completed -- is dedicated to my friend Sabrina_Mockingjay
She is an astounding writer who has such a bright future ahead of her. I know you're going to write books that will far exceed anything I could ever hope to write. I am so proud of you and everything you've accomplished in school and online. You've truly set such a high standard for those around you.
I know this isn't much, but every chapter that is -- and will be -- in this book goes out to you.

Early morning sunlight filtered through the window. The curtains had been left open in a spout of forgetfulness. Routine had been thrown out the window last night for the sake of getting a least a few hours of sleep. Something tapped the brunette's forehead. He scrunched his nose, still asleep, and hid his face underneath the blanket. There was a brush of fingers under his feet, and he curled up from the sensitivity. Nolan hummed something akin to a whine to whoever had the audacity to wake him up so soon. The blanket over his face was pulled down slowly, allowing the sunlight to assault him.
Begrudgingly, Nolan blinked his eyes open to see wide, sapphire eyes peeking at him over the bed. "It's morning," Lou stated simply. His fingers drummed against the bed restlessly. Nolan internally laughed. Lou must have been waiting for him to wake up for a while now.
"That's nice." Nolan pulled the blanket back over his face. The party last night had gone on for far too long than he could really handle. He thought he had as much energy as the Uglies, especially from the parties they had every few weekends. Turns out, midnight was his burnout time. Moxy somehow persuaded him to stay three hours after that time.
There was another tug at the blankets. Nolan kicked a leg out. "Ow!" Lou rubbed his side. "You're mean."
"You're annoying."
"Lazy."
"Brat."
Lou huffed and flung the sheets off of the brunette. "I already told everyone in the group chat we'd meet up with them for breakfast." He tossed the sheets to the floor so Nolan couldn't get to them. "You've got fifteen minutes to get ready before I get a phone call."
"There is no way everyone is up this early in the morning. I know good and well that Moxy stayed up partying even later than me." Nolan flung an arm over his eyes, trying to go back to sleep. Peeking from underneath, he squinted at the blonde. Lou was already dressed in his dress pants and white dress shirt. "When the heck did you wake up?"
The blonde looked up in thought for a second, "Like...seven."
"We didn't get home till four in the morning."
Lou clicked his tongue, shooting fingers guns at the brunette, "Coffee."
"Oh my doll," Nolan muttered and closed his eyes again. "Alright...alright, I'm up. Move." He forced himself out of the bed and went into the bathroom to get ready. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes, hesitating just another second before willing up the energy to get ready. Those UglyDolls had to be running on as much caffeine as Lou was. There was no way they could have the motivation to eat breakfast this early in the morning after partying so late.
