When our homework was done it was already 9 o'clock. Knowing it was our fault because we can't stop laughing all through science work, we decided it'd be best if we got ourselves food instead of making out parents cook. So, here we are heading to the local taco bell because it's the only place that came to mind. About halfway there Kay looks me dead in the eye and says, " Nicole I have a serious question for you." Not knowing what to say I just nod, giving her the signal to keep talking. "Do you think.. well it's kinda stupid..."

"Just ask already Kay." I'm slightly annoyed that she is taking so long to ask this question. It always frustrates me when she isn't straight forward.

"Alright. Just here me out. Do you think that...well..." At this point she is fighting with the corners of her mouth to keep a straight face, so I know something is up. "Do you think there will be any cute guys?"

I almost swerve into a ditch I start laughing so hard. " KAY! You can't do that to me when I'm driving! For crying out loud!" Now she is just sitting there laughing like the natural dork she is. "But, to answer your question... I don't really know it would be nice to have a little eye candy." This makes her laugh a little harder and just to add to the effect I look over at her and wink.

A few minutes later Kay and I pulled into the parking lot of the taco bell and went inside to order the usual enchiladas. When we were getting our drinks Kay tapped me and told me to look at the table in the corner. Knowing her she was probably pointing out something I wouldn't really care about, but I also knew that if I didn't look she would keep telling me until I did.

When I peered over my shoulder where she had pointed I was greeted by bright blue eyes and a tiny grin. I knew I shouldn't, but I smiled back and stared for a few seconds. As I watched his smile grew bigger and bigger. When I turned around Kay was staring from me to him. "He totally thinks you are cute!" she whisper-shouted. "He is still staring! You should talk to him! Oh my gosh I can't believe you smiled at him!" She continued doing this while we finished getting out drinks.

As I turned to pick a table he caught my eye again. I couldn't stare him in the eye, so I looked down and couldn't help the smile. Sadly, I got too scared to go over near him so I picked a table right next to the drink machines all the way across the room from him. When I looked up to grab my food Kay took my enchilada and chucked it at my face. "What the hell Kay!?"

"You totally are blushing! You like him you dumbass! Why did you sit all the way over here?!" To stop her crazy rant I grabbed one of her tacos and threw it at her face. She looked up at me shocked at my sudden outburst, but my blushing only proved her more right because now I was sure my face had gone from pink cheeks to bright red tomato. "Oh my gosh! I was totally right!" She turned around to look at our mystery cutie. I looked over to see if he had seen anything and sure enough he was laughing at us! I mean sure he wasn't like rolling on the floor or anything, but still he was laughing!

"Kay! Turn around you're probably freaking him out!" As I said this she started to wave him over. I cut her off by throwing another taco at the back of her head and mouthing at him to stay. He nodded like he understood. Thank god for guys who understand!

For the rest of our "dinner" Kay kept on looking from me to him and giving me a look that said, we will be discussing this later. Anyways, I was screwed and I was going to get hell for throwing not one but two tacos at her.

In the car I listened to Kay ramble about how cute he was and how him and I totally have a thing for each other. I just threw in the occasional uh-huh and yeahs that seemed to satisfy her pointless ramble.

When I was finally at Kay's house to drop her off she looked me in the eye once more and she gave me a scrutinizing look before turning. Just before she shut the door she said, "Are you sure you've never met that guy? You seemed to know each other or something..." Her sentence dropped off as she went into thought.

"Kay, that's rediculous! I swear I've never met him before." I looked her dead in the eye to make her know I was telling the truth but on the inside I was starting to doubt myself. She nodded and closed the car door and started to walk away, she paused for a short second but shook it off and kept walking.

***

On the way home I couldn't stop thinking about how Kay was right in a way. I mean I had never met him like I told her, but for some reason I still felt like I knew him. You sound like a crazy stalker. The rest of the drive home his eyes haunted me. Those blue eyes.

***

When I walked through the door it was just after 9, so I was well within the hour that I was supposed to be home. But for some odd reason I didn't here my mom, slightly worried I made my way to the kitchen. On the counter there was a note that she was out and wouldn't be back til around 11. Great I get the house to myself. Too bad I don't have a life. So upstairs to the computer I went to waste sometime.

By daylight I had accomplished close to nothing. I wanted to spend the night before writing, but all I managed to do was type a bunch of mumbo jumbo that described the taco bell guy. I'd stayed up until about 2 o'clock doing so. I still don't know why he felt so familiar... Well at least I had one good thing to look forward to today. Schedule work for my new job with Kay. That couldn't possibly go horrible wrong...right?

A/N Well guys this is all I could manage in a day. I would work on it a little bit longer but my friend TaliaWrynge wanted me to post more. So, here it is! Betting a lot of you guys can guess how she sees mystery man again! Anyways leave a comment as you please ;)
