"YOUR GOING TO BE LATE!" My father shouted from downstairs as I grabbed my robe and wand. "Coming!" I ran down the stairs carefully placing my steps so I wouldn't fall, as I reached the bottom I grabbed newt and put him in his cage.
"You ready?"
"Yeah" I grabbed my fathers arm as we apparated to the station. We rushed to platform 9 3/4 and made it there just in time before the train went.
"Good luck, I love you. Have fun and make friends!"
"Thanks dad." I hugged him tightly as I boarded the train
"Don't forget to write!" He shouted as the train left
"I won't" I wandered about the train for a while till I found an empty carriage, or at least I thought it was. After I had settled down in the carriage I realised a boy about my age had been stuffed in the luggage department. "Are you ok?"
"No"
"Do you know how to get down?"
"No"
"Okay I'll be right back" I quickly went to go and find a prefect and told them what happened, we quickly rushed back and he helped the boy down.
"Thank you"
"No worries. What's your name?"
"Neville, Neville Longbottom"
"I'm Elizabeth, but you can call me Liz if you'd like"
"Ok Liz" he smiled unsure of himself after he said that.
"So what are you?"
"I'm a witch" I said a bit confused
"Sorry I meant are you a pure blood a half-blood or are you muggle born?"
"Oh um, I don't really know my father and my grandfathers blood status is unknown, and I never really knew my mother."
"It's ok"
We talked about animals and plants and what house we might be in for the next hour, then we reached Hogwarts. As I stepped off the train I saw Hagrid. I've known Hagrid since I was a baby he came over quite often to help my father with bigger magical creatures like Dragons and a beast of which I don't know it's name. He welcomed me and the other first years and took us to a lake where some small paddle boats appeared. As we boarded them I saw Neville and waved, he was on a boat next to me he looked quite anxious. About a five minute trip later we arrived the castle was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen in my life. It was so big and so beautiful as I stepped out of the boat I saw Professor Mcgonagall approach us. As she was walking we made eye contact one that wouldn't have broken if my Niffler wasn't trying to escape, I rushed over to its cage on put the second lock on there to make sure it couldn't get out. The professor escorted us inside and introduced us to Mr. Filch and his cat Ms. Norris. As we were walking inside Prof. Mcgonagall whispers to me the I looked like my mother jet black hair and a dark chestnut eyes.
"She was quite a powerful auror before the incident." Mcgonagall whispered as we approached the castle. We entered the castle and came to a hult when we reached two large doors made with wood that looked centuries old. The doors opened, they lead to a large room lit by at least a thousand candles. I overheard another girl saying that the roof was bewitched to look like the sky. I glanced up and it was if there was no roof over our heads we walked a little further down this great hall and came to a halt in-front of a small platform that had three stairs leading up to it.
"Welcome to Hogwarts" said Prof. Mcgonagall " the start of term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats you must be sorted into your houses. There are Gryffindor, brave and daring souls live here , Slytherin, true colours are shown and cunning hearts lie there, Hufflepuff, patient true and unafraid of toil and Ravenclaw, wise and ready minds of wit and learning. When I call your name you will sit on the stool and be sorted into your house."
"Hermione Granger"
"GRYFFINDOR" the sorting hat shouted
"Draco Malfoy" before the hat even touched his head it shouted slytherin
"Suzan bones"
"HUFFLEPUFF"
"Ronald Weasley"
"GRYFFINDOR"
"Elizabeth Scamander"
