In England was when Niklaus met Katerina, as usual the Mikealsons through a huge soirée for one of Niks many Birthdays, that's where they met... Elijah was the first to be introduced to Katerina I watched as he became instantly infatuated by her very existence , Enthralled by her beauty but that lasted a second until Nik came and stole all of her attention and like the good brother Elijah pushed aside his pride and allowed his brother to have time alone with Katrina Petranova

Hleng: you have to stop letting him treat you that way Elijah it's pathetic really

Elijah: I guess we're pathetic pawns in the world of Niklaus Mikealson huh Hleng?
And with that he sauntered off.
He's not wrong I've waited all this time for Nik to love me in return the way I love him and here I am once again watching him flirt, dance, and drink with yet another victim to Niks abuse. I later was informed he'd be courting her for marriage even though she was already married. Typical Niklaus Mikealson.

Later that night after all the festivities, I was in my chambers brushing my hair he came in and sat right behind me I can see him through my mirror his handsome face, his scars he got before turning he's drunk on blood and alcohol but with Nik you can never tell

Hleng: is there something I can help you with Nik?
Nik: No, I've just come to admire your beauty love
Hleng: Really Nik I just don't understand you say you love me and you would never intentionally hurt me yet you hurt me every chance you get and I'm still here I have been here through everything and you act as if I am nothing to you outside these walls I can not continue on like this Niklaus all you are doing is draining me of what little hope I had in love  Please Nik just go..
Nik: I do love you and we are together like I promised we married like you wanted is that not enough I give you everything...
Hleng: YOU GIVE ME NOTHING IT IS I WHO GIVES YOU EVERYTHING, is it not me who keeps your presence hidden from Mikeal, is it not me who bare your burden of your darkest secrets even your siblings know not of I don't get it Nik you keep me here as if I am some pawn.
Nik: Hleng as far as you are concerned you are my Queen love I need you, you are not a pawn but a powerful being I cannot let into the wrong hands so you will sit here in the comfort of these walls until your not so emotional.
