Minho's first day of work is going surprisingly well. Jeongin makes it easier for him since he's already met the boy leading Jeongin to be the one to introduce him to the other trainees. It's given Minho an appreciation for the younger fox like boy.

Minho was now eating the lunch he ordered for himself and Hyunjin, finally being able to rest after 6 hours of non-stop interactions with trainees. Hyunjin is living for it, Minho on the other hand..

"These kids are so entertaining, they match my energy so well." Hyunjin says stuffing more food into his mouth.

Minho is in no way impressed with how well Hyunjin has already adjusted. He's used to his best friend being the easy going one of their group, though that contradicts his energetic yet contagious personality. "Dude slow down, you're gonna choke." Minho uses his fork and just moves his food around his plate.

"Mhhphhpm"

Minho chuckles at Hyunjin's pathetic attempt at defending himself.

"Talk to me when you aren't stuffing your face." Minho takes a sip of his water and hears the door open. A nervous looking Jeongin and Seungmin come walking in and that's when Hyunjin chokes on his food for real. As Hyunjin coughs and catches his breath, Minho pats his back to help.

"Hi Minho! Hyunjin!" Jeongin cheerfully greets the older boys trying to hide his anxious aura.

"Jeongin, what's up?" Minho asks assuming the boys need something. Minho noticed how Seungmin keeps his eyes to the floor.

"Nothing, can we eat in here? It's too noisy out there."

"Of course, we can get ready to go back to work." Minho says standing up.

"No you guys can stay! Let's eat together." Jeongin sits down across from the other boys and puts his and Seungmin's food on the table. Hesitantly, Seungmin slowly takes the seat across from Hyunjin.

"H-hey"

Hyunjin looks up to the sound of Seungmin's voice directed towards him. He notices how the younger's ears are burning red and he looks  a bit uncomfortable.

"Hi Seungmin" Hyunjin smiles at the younger boy.

Minho just watches this happen.

Weird. So weird. Are they flirting with their eyes or something?

"Seungmin do you know Hyunjin?" Minho acts oblivious like he doesn't know the two have been chatting on and off the past week and a half. Hyunjin has a big mouth.

"Uh yeah we've talked before." Seungmin says but quickly focuses on his food trying to avoid getting into the topic more.

Jeongin starts to feel guilty at this. He's been the one messaging Hyunjin most of the time. After convincing Seungmin what he did was a good idea, Seungmin insisted that he keeps up the act since he started it. Hyunjin has no idea it's been the younger trainee messaging him from Seungmin's account.

As Minho and Hyunjin get distracted into their own conversation, Jeongin pulls his phone out and messages the boy next to him.

Innie: this is so awkward i'm sorry

Minnie <3: you better be

Innie: why don't you try talking to him?

Minnie <3: he doesn't know anything about me, he knows you.

Innie: no he doesn't, go look at your dms with him

Seungmin pulls up instagram and reads through the dms. He didn't realize how much Jeongin and Hyunjin talked. Seungmin was genuinely surprised to see how Jeongin acted in the dms, a bit too straight forward but he embodied Seungmin's personality pretty well. Especially with the fact that he waited for Hyunjin to text first almost every time. But how does Jeongin know that much about him? Seungmin is the quiet type if not provoked. Just... don't provoke Seungmin. He prefers his world quiet, which is contradicting considering his best friend is a ball of energy waiting to be let loose.
Upon realizing how Jeongin really got into the role of his older best friend, Seungmin also notices the way Hyunjin messaged him, he seemed caring and respectful— always asked how his day was, he asked to call at one point but the offer was clearly declined, but he never pushed the matter further.
