Blackened words fall from her mouth
They hit the ground, turn into dust
Don't make any attempts, don't trust
Don't try to gain, don't let a cracked heart bust
The charred sounds travel from her mouth
into my glowing hot ears
Smell the smoke, smell the fear
Smoldering sentences
Fire alarms in my head
I keep adding more wood to her fire
I keep dousing her in lighter fluid
I don't know what to do, so I feed the fire
What I really need is some water

Lyrical Poems
PoetryThese poems aren't lyrical, not all of them. It's a pun. My name is Lyric. I wrote a lot of poetry in 2015, and I put it here. I can't seem to write poetry, but I occasionally find old ones lying around. Thank you for reading.
