Out of Love

I fell in love with the feel of her
Her soft, pliable waist
Her arms around me

I fell in love with the way she laughs
The way she confidently entered a conversation

I fell out of love when the smile dropped from her face
The tension a tight chord pulling us apart

I fell out of love with the way she acted like she did not know what I was talking about, like she was forced to misunderstand me

How can I love something so deadly?
How can I not love someone so beautiful?
