Rias POV

"Why are you hugging me?" I sniffled, in hurt inquiring.

"I understand what you're going through." he replied solidly. Did he?

From the look of things, he had rich parents that were probably— Did he even know what it felt like to be me... Lord, should I even be judging him right now?

I took a deep breath, wiping off my tears before pulling back from his hug. "I'm okay now, s-sir Colton."

"Are you sure, Miss Gremory?" he said after me.

My eyes glanced at mum, who laid palely on the sick bed. We shouldn't even be here, disturbing her. I reached for my hand bag, pulling Colton with me.

"Yes, I am. Let's leave this place." I seethed, that minute.

He didn't object surprisingly, coming with me, my hands intertwined with his.

"We need to talk," he started off.

I inwardly cringed, fretting immediately. What if he figured out that I lost his manuscript already? I looked down, with my eyes searching for what to say...

"About what, s-sir?"

"The other night, Rias." Colton retorted, immediately with a grin. "I assumed you didn't bring it up that morning because you were, um, flustered. However, I thought of that night as—"

"It was a one-night-stand, I know. I'm very much aware of that sir... I mean I'm not even your type of woman," I gasped out, flustered, once again.

Clinging on to him, would only let myself get hurt. I knew I had to be realistic here. Not fairytalize the entire thing if that was even a word.

"Who the hell gave you that notion about me, Miss Gremory?" Sir Colton murmured, staring at me like I had just said something fascinating. He folded his arms, and my eyes ran through his moving biceps which was still outlining, even with the overcoat.

My shaky hands reached for my forehead, straightening my glasses, almost immediately. Don't do it. An inner voice told me, but I wasn't someone who kept her thoughts inside. I decided to tell him the bland truth.

"I mean, you look like a playboy and a one-night-stand kind of guy." I said. He cocked a brow, at my words.

"Do I?"

Colton crossed his legs like a gentleman, straightening his vampiric neckline clothing he always had on.

"Umm, yeah..." I trailed, biting my lips and asking myself if he thought of me as clumsy by doing that.

"That's quite an enthralling idea. Wonder how much more rumors about me, are out there." he murmured, with his blue eyes glancing at me.

"You're a successful billionaire, you write book porn, have the features to make any man feel ashamed. Did you perhaps expect a different kind of rumor?"

His phone rung and he took it, going to a corner to answer it. I saw his nose flare and he seemed angry. Something that sounded like a growl came from his direction.

Next thing, he walked up to me.

"I have to go attend to something urgent, Rias. We would have this conversation later."

"Okay, sure." I answered.

Not that there was anything to talk about though... but that made a certain hope twinge in me.

Cole moved to go, when he came back. He tucked a part of my hair behind my ears, bringing his lips closely to them.

"And...I don't mind you on the bed with your legs wide apart for me, when I do come around." he whispered.

I blushed in several tones, looking at his retreating figure as he walked away.

...

Alpha Stone's POV

I moved away from Rias to answer the unknown number that was presently calling. Normal people probably didn't pick strange numbers. For Alphas, it was different.

Leo dominated everything that came his way, facing it head on.

Man, he was that kind of guy. Living in me for a long time, meant we came to understand each other.

"Common, Colee..." Layla purred. "Let's see once more. We could have a threesome with your newest girl, it's going to be frigging nice."

"Don't call this line again."

I stoically told her. What was her deal? For someone as unhinged as her, I wasn't surprised with her fantasies.

However, what irritated me was the fact that she was clinging to me so her family got favor with the hierarchies.

Layla was the daughter of an elder and she was suggested to be my Luna in the past. I had declined of course, but she seemed to instill it in her head that she had the right to me.

"Oh boy, you sure don't mean that— "

Boy?

"Who.Is.Boy?" I seethed at her. I hung up the call immediately, sighing.

I took once glance at Rias. I've seen these instances in other packs where people like Layla show up to intimidate Rias. I had to go warn the elders to tell her to steer off or face my wrath.

My Queen...

I thought as I took a glimpse of her. She didn't know anything about the existence of werewolves but I'd make sure to tell her soon.

My Luna.

"You're back, Alpha!"

The old lady who maintained the pack house let out.

"Yeah, how are the house affairs?" I said, doing as mum would have done if she was fit enough to work.

"Oh, I got some groceries, my Alpha! I think it's a coincidence but I met the red hair lady you brought home, days back." she stated.

"Mhm...really?" I asked.

"Yes sir, she went after a thief just like he held her lifeline. It was impossible to get him, because he got on a motorcycle, zooming off." she said.

"Oh really?" I let out thoughtfully. "Whatever he stole, that made her react that way."

"She won't tell me, but if I remember correctly, it was something like some pile of files, sir." she said. Her hands scanned the house, stopping at one of my shelves. Her description suited my manuscript. The exact book that took years.

"Like one of yours, sir."

Holy shit. Rias what did you do?
