Defending Hailey💙

After episode 9, I noticed a lot of people beggining to take the Jomies side, and start blaming the music club, especially Hailey.

I want to defend Hailey, because I don't think the amount of hate she's getting is fair.

Firstly, a main argument people use to try to make Hailey look like a bad person is "Well she pressured Jake to pick a side"

I would disagree with this, because in episode 9 Hailey clearly stated that she was sorry for how she was acting, and that she hopes that Jake, her, and the rest of the music club can stay friends, even if he leaves the club.

Now of course she did in episode 8, but she made up for it, and tried to solve the issue. Drew on the other hand manipulated Jake.

Another big thing I wanted to point out is that people say "she said she trusted him, but wouldn't listen to what he had to say"

While this is a valid point, the girl litterly had a tape of him calling her best friends, and herself freaks. He also litterly singled her out. She didn't have any context of why he said that, so from her point of view, he had been pretending the entire time.

It also didn't help that she found out the day before that he had only joined for Daisy. 

People are getting mad at her for being upset and not listening to him.

Gurl had a right to be mad at him. 

Basically, she did do some things wrong, but imagine what would have happened if she had believed him and been like: " I BeLiEvE yOu eVeN tHoUgH I hAvE a ViDeO oF yOu SaYiNg sHiT aBoUt mE aNd My fRiEnDs"

Then the whole fandom would be calling her a pushover. No matter what, someone will always be unhappy. I'm sorry, but how Hailey reacted makes total sense.
