A few days have passed since the funeral and your mind was a chaotic mess. You didn't mean to spend the night at your mother's home the day you visited. You remember journeying into your late brother's room, you remember crying into his pillow, you must've dozed off since the next thing you knew it was morning. The moment you opened your eyes you smelled it, the scent of sunlight and incense flooded your lungs and clung to the room like a vise. Scar came to your brother's room, from the opened window you knew without a shadow of a doubt that he did. A flurry of emotions came with the realization, fear, anger, but the strongest was the instinctual longing from your inner omega.

But his invasion into your childhood home wasn't the only thought assaulting your brain. Two days after the funeral, lieutenant Ross was arrested for the murder of Colonel Hughes. As you walked towards Central Command Center that morning, you passed by a news stand. The words on the paper were enough to make your heart stop.

Once you arrived at Central Command, you charged towards the large office space that housed Colonel Mustang and his units who recently moved here from the Eastern headquarters. Anger fueled your limbs, before you knew it you were barging into the large space. All eyes were on you the moment you entered but you ignored the units' curious gazes. The only person who didn't seem phased by your unannounced arrival was the Colonel himself who was too busy flirting with some nameless chick on the phone.

The very act of him ignoring you sent fire to your blood. Once upon a time you actually respected this man. The fearsome fire alchemist who could conquer any foe on the battlefield, a charismatic leader who could inspire any person to follow him. Who knew he was just a lech who would rather spend his working hours flirting with women and killing his comrades!

Approaching his desk, you slammed your palms against the hardwood, forcing him to acknowledge you."Colonel, I need to talk to you."

He gave you a dismissive glance. "Come back later, I'm busy."

"This is important sir." You said. "It's about Lieutenant Ross."

"What about her?"

Oh that just made you burn up inside all the more. "'What about her'?! How about we start with the fact you killed her!" You roared. "You had to have known she was innocent! You and I both know something fishy is going on here, at least I thought you knew. How could you do this?!"

Roy sighed. "(Y/N)".

"She was our comrade! You didn't even wait to hear her out!"

"(Y/N)". Roy only grew more irritated but you were blind to it, not when your own anger was coursing through your veins like hot poison.

"Are we all just disposable to you, Colonel? If the military were to release a bullshit story on me, would you kill me too?"

"That's enough!" He shouted, his eyes were cool and sharp like glass. You felt the force of his glare cut into you, it was enough to kill the fire inside. "I will not ask you again, leave before I write you up for insubordination."

You felt the Order tug at your limbs, it was a weak pull but the hellish scent storming out of his scent glands was enough to make you obey his command. You rushed to the door with your tail between your legs. Once you were finally out of his scent's fiery grip, icy cold dread began to filter into your awareness. He used Order. Did he slip up and use it during a moment of anger? Or- you gulped- did he know your secret?

You worked the rest of the day when Riza entered your unit's office space. "Riza?" You looked up confused at the blond beta.

Her face was fixed into a stoic mask, giving nothing away as usual. "Come, the Colonel wants to have a word with you in his office."
