Getting up from the rubble, Jonah glanced around him. The smell of sulfur tainting the air stung his nose. Everything was burned down, there was nothing left of the bar, nothing left of the Cadillac, nothing left of Papi. As he patted down his shirt, it was intact. He could feel the wind caress the back of his neck. Jonah roamed through the remains before reaching the sidewalk. The sun rose in the distance, shining her gold beams onto him. He strolled towards the cemetery. The streets were empty of life. As he breached the gateway of his destination, he walked down the dirt path. He knew exactly which headstone was hers. Looking up in that direction, he saw a figure in the distance. A woman had her back turned towards him. Taken aback, Jonah stayed quiet as he approached her. A few feet behind the woman, his eyes were wandering from her black curly hair to her dress wrapped neatly around her body. Before he could even say anything, she faced him, a smile was forming on her face.

"Sunshine.", she said in a loving tone.

"May'..."

Jonah tried holding back tears, with no success. He collapsed in Maybelle's arms, hugging her as tightly as possible. He held her again like it was the first time, "I can't believe I am home.", he thought to himself. He pressed his hands on her cheeks before putting his forehead against hers.

"I can't believe you are here. May'..., May'."

"I couldn't let you wander all by yourself, could I?", she slid her fingers into his hair as she caressed his messy curls.

"I would have found you one way or another."

"I always knew you would.", she smiled softly at Jonah.

A few moments went by as they locked eyes. His trembling hands were resting on her lower back. Finally, he kissed her again. It felt incredible, her lips were as soft as he remembered them to be. Exchanging small envious breaths, they wouldn't let go of each other. There was nothing else that could separate them now. They could finally wander together forever. Sunshine and May'.
