I got to the recording studio and sat down on the drum set and had my drum sticks in my hand and a beer in my other, I put it down and began to play a piece from our album, Boy that was coming out soon.

Hours passed and we were done I was about to leave when Adam stopped me "hey mate" he said putting his arm around me "Adam" I said "have you talked to Anne's friend?" He asked "I can't seem to remember her name" he said laughing "May" I said looking at the dull sky "ah yes her, have you heard from her?" "Yeah I have, we got tea yesterday morning" I said Adam stopped and looked at me and taking his hand off my shoulder "did you write it or tell her?" He asked "I wrote it Adam I'm too much of a coward to tell her how I feel, I'm too nervous" I said putting my hands in my pockets.

Adam laughed "I only know cause Anne told me you liked her" I stopped "how'd she know!" I said loudly, people starred at me and him "dial it down will ya?" He said "sorry, but how'd she know that?" I said he laughed "Anne knows things, she can tell" he said putting his arm around me and walking I smiled a little "good to know Anne loves to get people together" I said laughing Adam punched me as a joke "oi! What was that for?" I yelled "nothin'" he said I laughed.

Me and Adam went out ways and I got to my flat and went inside I saw my mail on the floor and sighed picking it up "no, no, ew no, lame, don't care, don't care, could care les-" I stopped and looked at the note in my hand "note?" I said "from May?" I said in shock and ripped it open and read it right there it read,

Dear Larry,

Thank you for the note it was beautiful and felt incredible to hear from you, I wish you would've told me in person how you feel about me, I'd love to know more about you too and get to know how you got into drumming and your band that isn't failing, I feel the same way you feel about me, get back to me soon!

Love, May

I dropped the note and covered my mouth with the other mail, I picked up the note and went inside my house.
