Come Home

How had two weeks passed by in the blink of an eye? Only two more shows had been played in that time, so maybe that was why it had only felt like a few days to me.

I had lost count of how many cities we'd gone through. How many flights we'd taken. And how many times in that two weeks that I'd woken up with Till laying naked in my bed next to me. Or how many times he'd woken me up in much better ways.

The man was insatiable...but hey, I'm not complaining.

"But when are you coming back?" Maggie's voice whined through the phone, causing me to chuckle ever so slightly.

Glancing across the room, I saw Schneider and Flake sitting there, both completely focused on whatever they were doing. Both dressed and ready to hit the stage. "Well, there's still a few shows left- so a few weeks at least." I shrugged my shoulders even though I knew the young girl wouldn't see it.

"You were only supposed to be gone two weeks!" Maggie groaned. "We all thought you were going to be back by now!

I had never told them it would only be two weeks. It was safe to assume that they came to the conclusion of them thinking it would only be two weeks because I had never taken longer than that away from the shop at one time. I couldn't stand not working for long periods of time. I was constantly doing something.

"I'm sorry Mag-pie, but things change." I said with a slight sigh.

Seeing the door to the room open, I looked up and saw Paul and Ollie walking into the space- both with large smiles on their faces. Neither of them had started getting dressed yet, and I couldn't help but think that they were running out of time to do so. Granted, they had been doing a Meet and Greet, while the others had yet to go out. So technically, they were right on schedule.

Feeling my phone vibrate slightly, I pulled it far enough away from my ear to read the text that had come through while still being able to hear Maggie talking.

Tom: Send the little drummer boy out here.

I rolled my eyes at Tom's message.

"Schneider, Tom's requesting your presence at the meet and greet." I announced to the man sitting across the room.

The drummer said nothing in response, simply nodding his head before standing up. I watched as he placed his drum sticks down before leaving the room.

"If you're going to be gone for too much longer, we're going to have to close the shop. Mom's supposed to go into labor any day now." I cringed ever so slightly at Maggie's statement. I had completely forgotten that her mother was pregnant. "Has it really been nine months already?" I questioned, feeling slightly guilty as the realization sunk in.

I had left knowing that Maggies mother, Michelle, was pregnant. I had told Michelle that she was in charge of the shop until I came back, and told Maggie that she was in charge of looking after her mother and making sure she didn't over do it.

Seeing the door open once more, this time when I looked up I saw Till and Richard walking through the room. Both already dressed for the show as well, chatting with one another about something. I found myself smiling as I watched the two of them moving through the room from my spot in the corner.

"Yes, it has been nine months already, and I'm very upset that you're not going to be here when I go into labor." Michelle's voice floated through he ear piece of the phone, causing me to frown. Hearing her talk was the only indication that I was on speaker- and I hate that shit. "I'm sorry, Michelle. I guess I didn't realize when I left how close it was. I thought there was more time." I said with a sigh, my eyes still glued to the singer across the room.
