Its a Barbie world

Danica POV
"Alright children, the ball is in 5 days and we need to get you two outfits" he said as we were getting off the plane.

"But the ball is in five days, why do we have to go now?" Dylan complained.

I was about to ask that myself, but
apparently, I didn't need to. this is going to be a long trip... I reminded myself.

"Well, I guess I should tell you it's not just any ball, this is the royal ball and we're meeting the host." He answered and we almost fainted.

"WHAT?!" Dylan shouted and honestly I didn't blame him.

ignoring him, our principal turned to me.

uh-oh

"Well, you're awfully quiet" he said, but it was more of a question than anything.

"And your point is?" I retorted

"Oh, nothing"

He had a look of suspicion on his face and Dylan had a look of confusion on his face.

As we walked out of the landing area Dylan asked me a question.
"What was that?"

I kept walking like I didn't hear him, but once we were outside he stopped me and turned me around, so that I was facing him.

"What was that?" He repeated.

I've never seen him more concerned, and I almost broke down, right there. Almost, but I kept it in.

"Nothing" I lied and looked away so he couldn't the pain behind my eyes.

"But it is something" he said and I turned back to him.

"Why can't you just leave this?" I plea and he can tell I'm on the verge of tears.

We're only about 4 inches apart, but he closes the distance by 2.

"Hey you two!" We turn to see our principal standing there with his arms crossed. "did I interrupt you little moment again?"

I mumbled a no and got in the taxi he hailed me. The boys rode in one taxi and I rode in a different one alone. I cried the whole ride as I recalled the memory.

"No" my mom said.

"You dare defy me?" The king asked

"No" my dad protested "We won't stand for this, she's our daughter."

"Well then, I guess I'll have to kill you, considering this is an act of treason and that is punishable by death!" The king declared.

As my parents were being dragged away to the gallows to be publicly hanged, their last words to me were "stay a rebel, and always remember us. We love you Danny, and we always will."

Dylan POV:
"Have you told her about the plan?" He asked.

"I can't, I just can't bring myself to do it. She doesn't need anything else to worry about"

The pain I saw in her eyes was almost enough to make me cry. There was definitely something going on and I was going to find out what it was.

"You know the mission, you must protect Danica at all costs. If you don't, then everything goes down hill from there" he said

Upon entering the store, I found something within 5 minutes. Danica however, didn't even come close.

"We've been here for an HOUR! And you haven't liked anything I've tried on! I feel like a stupid Barbie doll!" She shouted.

"Your a Barbie girl and it's a Barbie world. You look fantastic, your made of-" I sang.

"DON'T EVEN DYLAN!" She shouted

"Fine get some more outfits and we'll leave soon." our Principal said.

"Ugh! Fine! Dylan you found something, so you're helping me" she took my wrist and dragged me to the back.

After about 15 minutes. We came back with 5 dresses, 3 of which I suggested.
Eventually he picked one of the ones Danica picked. It was a strapless aqua number that flared out at the waist and stopped at about her knees. I hated to say it, but she looked amazing.

After we got settled into our room, me and Danica got changed into our outfits, and we set out to meet the queen.

Our Principal hailed two taxis, but this time I sat with Danica because I knew she was scared. As we approached the palace I comforted Danica, she looked like she was going to pass out.

As we approached the throne. We bowed and Danica curtsied before the queen.

"My esteemed guests, I welcome you to England."

Yay it's kind of long! Anyways I'll probably be posting soon hopefully since testing is done. but I have finals so I might not. I'm sorry for not posting in a while, but I hope you guys like this chapter.
