3rd POV
''Twas the night before Christmas. The smell of cookies were leaked into the living room whilst Valerie and her daughter of 1 year, Hazzel were decorating the Christmas tree, getting ready for Santa to bring them gifts under the tree.
They were all wearing ugly Christmas sweaters. Valerie was wearing one that had a reindeer pulling Santas sleigh along the front side. Sandra had one with a snowman on it. Rose has one that had the grinch and little Hazzel had Rudolf on it.
In the kitchen, Sandra and their 6 year old, Rose, were making cookies to put on the fireplace for Santa to come and eat. They also had the tradition to put carrots out for the reindeer because of their strong flight through the cold.
The cookies were just finished in the oven when their alarm went off for it. After the 30 minutes was over, they were an excellent golden brown. They were chocolate chip which was the kids favorite so they made many for them all. The took them out of the oven with their oven mittens and placed the tray on the counter.
They started to decorate them. They had multiple different colors of frosting like red, green, white, black, and blue. They also had rainbow sprinkles. They decorated them and got out a plate to put them on. The got out the carrots as well. The got the milk and put it in a pot to warm up. They got a mug out to put it in. Once the milk was heated the put it in the mug and put it by the counter.
Meanwhile with Valerie and Hazzel. Hazzel was sitting on the couch near the tree. She picked up one of the ornaments that she made in class and said "Da!" She was only one so she couldn't speak in full sentences. Valerie's looked at it and sat next to her while saying "Yes! You made the just recently at daycare, do you remember?" She picked it up and hung it on the tree.
After many ornaments ranging from snowflakes to spheres to many that Hazzel and Rose have made, she was done. She picked up the star, about to place it on top, when she heard her baby shuffle on the couch. "Do you want to put it there?"
The little one smiled and shrieked "Gahb!" She really wanted to put it up. Valerie picked her up and raised her high enough with the star in hand. Hazzel put the star on the tree gently and then gently her mother brought her down. Soon, Sandra and Rose came in with the cookies, carrots, and milk. "Hey momma! We finished!"
"Oh that's great, darling." She said to her significant other. They smiled happily and watched Christmas movies until the kids bedtime came around. They put the little ones to bed and then after, went to bed themselves.
