Lucas wakes up to Marie waking him up, so they would be on time to take her into town today. She asked him to take her to town so they could by her a new dress. Lucas was right, he was able to convince his sister into going to the ball coming up that is with Marie's help of course. She was so overjoyed, when waking up her uncle, Marie accidentally pushed him out bed.

Lucas: Ow! Marie!

Marie: Oh, I'm sorry Uncle Lucas, but mother said come and get you for breakfast.

Lucas: Did she say push me to the floor?

Marie: No, but you weren't getting up. Now come on so we get into town early.

Lucas: Marie calm down, it's only 9 in the morning, we have enough time today to get everything that you need.

Marie: But the earlier we are, the earlier I'll be able to find a dress that I like.

Marie walked out of the room as Lucas followed her to the stairs that lead down to the kitchen. There, Anais stood by the stove finishing up placing all the food she made on everyone's plate. Marie ran over to her chair just as her mother put a plate of pancakes Infront of her. She placed a plate next to her right where Lucas was to sit.

Lucas looked at his sister a little puzzled, normally he would sit between her and Bella, but she took his place. He decided to not say anything and take a seat not wanting to start an argument with her, not after last night.

Anais: Lucas, I heard you leave last night, if you don't mind me asking, where did you go?

Lucas: No where, I was sitting on the porch and guess who popped up.

Anais: Who?

Lucas: Cassandra.

Marie: Auntie Cassie was here last night?

Lucas: yeah, she said that she had just got back from Italy, and couldn't wait to us, well you Anais.

Anais: Me?

Lucas: Yeah.

Anais: Well, that's interesting.

Marie: Why momma?

Anais: Well, me and Cass didn't end on what adult's call "good terms".

Lucas raised a brow in confusion. He didn't know that had an issue, when they were children, they always butted heads with each other, but they always had each other's back growing up. Anais wasn't really a fighter, if people would pick on her, Cassandra would be there to defend her.

Marie: Is she mad at you? is that why she doesn't come around anymore?

Anais: No, she just travels a lot that's all.

Lucas: What made you guys stop talking then?

Anais: To be honest, I don't remember, it was three years ago, I forgot about it. I guess she did if she wants to see me.

Lucas: Well, you'll get to meet her at the ball.

Anais: Yes, about that....

Both Lucas and Marie look at Anais with shockless on their face.

Marie: Momma don't say that we can't go! you said we could.

Anais: Now hold on Marie, you can still go, I just won't be able to.

Marie: Why not?

Anais: Well not really, I'll still be able to, but I'll be working.

Lucas: I thought Gabriella gave you the weekend off?

Anais: She did, but it turns out the King would like everyone at the restaurant to work for the event.

Marie: But I wanted to pick out a dress for you.
