In a world where 80% of the world's population has a special ability, those who don't have it are misfits. Izuku Fujinuma is one of the 20% who don't have any special ability. That's why he was bullied all his life and neglected and mistreated by other people.

He's getting ready in his room to go to school. He lives in a rather small apartment with his mother. He leaves his room and sees a very familiar head lying on the couch. He sighs and approaches the couch. A woman with short black hair lies on the couch and sleeps peacefully. He shakes her slightly and she starts to wake up.
???: Oh good morning Izuku.
Izuku: Mom, please go to your bed to sleep.
???: I know I'm sorry Izuku I was just tired.
Izuku: It's okay mom, but please, it's more comfortable there for you.
???: Alright, Alright.
Izuku: I have to go to school now see you later.
Just before he can leave the apartment, his mother calls him again. He turns and sees her smiling.
???: Have a nice day at school, love you Izuku.

This is Sachiko Fujinuma, she is Izuku's adoptive mother and has been taking care of him since he was a little baby. Izuku knows he was adopted, but he doesn't care, all he needs is his mother. It takes him a while to finally get to school. But he goes into the class and sits in his place, the other students are already there and the lesson begins. Classes aren't difficult for Izuku, but what annoys him is the small electric shocks he gets all the time from his neighbors at the table behind him. He looks back angrily and sees Denki Kaminari laughing quietly with his jerk friends.
Izuku: *Thoughts* To think I used to be friends with that asshole.
He refocuses on the lesson but Kaminari continues, which enrages him, but he knows what will happen if he fights back. He is portrayed as the bad guy again and is punished, his mother doesn't need this stress, she already works as a nurse at night to keep them afloat. The break begins and Izuku goes to get some food, but is stopped by Kaminari and his friends.
