Tarkan
"Tarkan bay," Genco knocked on my door.
(Mr Tarkan)

Genco was my father's personal bodyguard.

"Your father wants to see you in his office," Genco spoke still standing at the door.

"I'll be right there."

"Abi," I heard my younger brother's voice, Soner.
(Brother)

I was just done dressing up.

"Can we talk? Privately?" Soner asked staring at Genco awkwardly.

"What are you still doing here?"

Genco nodded once and left my room. Soner locked the door immediately he left.

"Abi, did you find her? Nihan?" Soner asked anxiously.
(Brother)

"I did," I smiled at Soner and his reaction took me by surprise. He was happy and glad.

Soner was actually very fond of Nihan and he felt bad want my father did to her and my son. He was the only one who knew I was looking for her.

"Abi, Hakan and baba know about Nihan, I heard them talking, I swear I didn't say anything," Soner spoke.
(Dad)

"I know don't worry Soner, I trust you."

Soner smiled.

"Let me go see baba and see what he wants," I spoke to him, patted his back and left the room.

I already expected Hakan in his office. He was like his dog, always following him around and his orders.

"Gunaydin Tarkan bey," Hakan greeted me sarcastically.

(Good Morning Mr Tarkan)

"You wanted to see me baba?" I ignored Hakan.

"What is this I'm hearing Tarkan?" Kadir asked.

"I don't know what you heard."

"Tarkan!" Hakan warned me.

"I told you to get rid of that girl and now she is mixed up with Altan!" Kadir yelled.

"Altan," I laughed.

"Is this some joke to you? What business do you have with that girl?" Hakan thundered.

"Where is she?" Kadir asked.

"Baba, Hakan...stay out of my business."
(Dad)

I turned to walk away when Kadir started yelling.

"Baba say the word and I will find that girl," Hakan spoke.

"I dare you, don't test me Hakan! Mention her name again and I come after you," I made myself clear and when they were both silent and staring at me in disbelief I walked out.

"Genco! Genco get my car!" I yelled as I headed for the front door.

"Oglum,! Tarkan," my mother called me.
(Son)

"Not now annem," I spoke as I walked out.
(Mom)

My car was brought outside and I got in. The gate was opened and right when I was about to drive out, some idiot blocked my way with his taxi. I hooted the car and yelled for him to move when Deniz got out of the car. I left my car too.

"Didn't I make myself clear Deniz?" I yelled but she just stood there.

"Tarkan," she cried before me.

"Get in the fucking car and leave, hey! Get your car away from here!" I yelled at the driver to move his car but Deniz wouldn't cooperate. She kept begging me for forgiveness being all clingy and annoying causing a scene.

"I won't say it again!" I warned her with just one look.

"Let go of my arm!"

She let go and slowly walked back to the car wasting my time. The driver finally drove away.

My best friend was finally Mrs Kaleli. I was so happy for. We once made a bet on who would get married first and it turned out to be her. I hope she didn't remember I owed her money. I laughed to myself as I watched her smile, and being excited. The wedding turned out magical, she looked beautiful, Halit looked handsome and he was enjoying too.

The men, including Halit himself lined up in a row together to perform the halal, a ritual dance. They linked arms and on each side a groomsman held a customary scarf as they kicked, swayed and crouched down to the beat of the music. Everyone else was clapping to the beat and singing. It was really enjoyable watching them. Aslan had joined the other kids and were running around the place and dancing. He was somewhere I could easily spot him.

I was done with my drink and got up to stretch a bit when I almost fell back until someone held him.

"Be careful," a male voice softly spoke to me.

I turned to look at him and I saw a smile on his face. He was richly and neatly dressed in a nice black suit and a white shirt.

I remembered who he was. He was Halit's best man.

"I've seen you..." I was about yo finish when he respectfully cut me off with his name.

"Altan Kaleli I'm Halit's best man and his cousin," he smiled at me and offered to shake my hand.

"Nihan, the bride's best friend" I shook his hand.

He was gentle and had a soft smile. He had dark nicely laid back hair and green eyes. He was slightly taller than me but I still didn't recognise him, well apart from seeing him as Halit's best man. I didn't want to stay there any longer coz things were getting awkward so I excused myself but I could tell he was staring at me. After I left the washrooms I avoided him. Good thing it was getting late. Everyone was biding Halit and Azra goodbye as they were leaving for their honeymoon.

"Congratulations Azra."

"I'll miss you," she hugged me tightly.

"It's only two weeks," I laughed.

"Will you be okay?" She asked.

"Don't worry about me just go have fun and make me an aunty,."

She chuckled.

"Aslan, oh my baby," she took him in to a tight hug and both of them kissed his cheek.

"Take care of mommy okay," Azra told Aslan and he just nodded smiling.

They bid us goodbye and left in a car and just then it started raining. To make it worse I lost our driver and my phone died. I carried Aslan in to my arms and tried to walk fast to the main road and get a taxi. Everyone else was busy avoiding the rain, leaving immediately. The main road was so far and we both getting soaked. I tried as much as I could to cover my baby and on our way a car hooted at us from behind. It stopped right beside us. The back door was opened and I saw that guy Altan.

"Get in," he said.

I had no choice, my baby was getting rained on so we jumped in and off we went.
