Nihan
I had just finished folding Aslan's clothes when I had a loud bang on the floor in the next room. I ran there and upon entering I heard giggles. Aslan was hiding on the other side of the bed on the floor."Aslan what did I tell you about jumping on the bed?"
I rushed over to him and he looked up pushing over his curly hair from his face.
"I'm going to get a...a...I'm going to get a boo boo if I jump on the bed, I'm sorry mommy," he apologised.
He still didn't know how to speak very well. He is three years old but looks younger than he's age. I sighed and took him up from the floor and made him sit on my laps on my bed.
"Are you hurt?"
He just shook his head but I had to make sure. Aslan was very playful and most of the time he got hurt from jumping and running everywhere.
"Nihan! What happened?" Grandma called from downstairs.
"Nothing babaanne(grandma)."
"Okay come on breakfast is ready," she said.
"Come, go have breakfast I'll be right there okay."
I kissed my son's cheek. He nodded and ran downstairs. I picked up his toys that had scattered all over the floor and followed him downstairs.
"Babaanne (grandma)," Aslan called her as he jumped over the last step.
"Aslan be careful," she said as Aslan stood before her.
"What did we talk about?" Grandma asked.
"No jumping, no running," he spoke.
"Good boy, go have a seat," grandma spoke.
"Babaanne(grandma)," I kissed her cheek.
"My dear what happened?" She asked.
"Aslan he fell down but he's fine," I explained as I walked over to the stove.
"I wonder who's energy you have hmmm?" Grandma spoke as she tickled Aslan who laughed.
The word energy. I remembered him saying that word.
~Flashback~
"Our son will be as energetic as me," He spoke to my belly."Are you saying that his mom is lazy?" I asked.
"Nooo, I'm just saying look...you can't even get off the bed by yourself," he made fun of me as he laughed.
"Heyyy!" I warned him throwing a pillow at him.
"Okay okay, I'm sorry I don't mean that. My habibi," he pressed a kiss on my lips.
"You're the strongest and most energetic lady I know, and most certainly beautiful," he winked at me making me blash.
He carried me in to his arms, off the bed.
"Dede!" Aslan yelled bringing me back to reality.
Aslan ran to his grandpa. He put his stuff down and took Aslan in to his arms.
"Aslan!" Grandpa exclaimed excitedly.
"Dede, what did you bring me?" Aslan asked.
"I brought you a lot of fruits my boy," grandpa said.
"Fruits! You didn't bring me sweets?" Aslan asked.
"Sweets are not good for you my boy," grandpa spoke.
"But annem(mom) said they are healthy," Aslan hid his face playfully knowing that he was lying.
"Annem!" grandpa and the rest of us laughed.
"Aslan! When did I say that?" I laughed.
Grandpa put him back down and he went and sat next to his grandma.
"Dede," I kissed his hand and placed my head on it.
I helped him take off his coat and sat next to grandma. I went back to the kitchen and came back to serve them tea.
"Babaanne, dede I have to leave now I will be late."
"Kizim (my daughter) you haven't even had breakfast," Grandpa spoke.
"Don't worry dede I'll have something when I get there."
"Nihan," grandma pulled me gently aside.
"I thought we talked about this and you promised me you wouldn't go back there," grandma spoke.
"Babaanne(grandma) they pay me well and as soon as I get enough money to help you and dede I will look for another job."
She cupped my cheeks and made a quick smile at me. I knew she was always worried about the Yildiz family for how they treated me but I always minded my own business. I kissed her cheek and went back to the table.
"Oglum(son), baby."
I kissed my son as I went out.
"Dede, babaanne,."
"Byeee mommy," Aslan waved at me as I left and I waved back.
