Chapter 1

Skylar's P.O.V

I walked onto the plane feeling nervous and excited. This was my first time travling alone. I was flying to London to see my cousin, Louis. I had never met him before, but my parents thought that I was finally old enough to travel alone. I was going over spring break, becuase that was the only time it worked for Louis and I to meet. He was busy with school and work. I wasn't really sure what he did for a living, but I thought that he had a band of some sort. In his emails that I recieved, he didn't really explain what he did. In a way, it almost seemed like he was hiding something...But I shook off that feeling and took my seat. The seat next to me empty, and I was glad. I didn't really want to spend the 7 hour flight from New York to London sitting next to some creppy old guy. 

"Please fasten your seatbelts, we are about to take off." 

The pilots voice rang through the speakers, anncouncing our take off. I cliped my seatbelt together with trembling fingers. I was eager to get to London and to see Louis for the first time. I looked out to my left, and saw the ground grow smaller as we lifted higher into the air.

2 hours later

I winced, and shifted my in my seat. I had been sitting in the same postion for a while now, and I had gotten a knot in my sholder. I leaned over and grabbed my bag. I pulled out my laptop and started typing a letter to my best friend, Stacy. She was very jealous when she first heard that I was going to London for 2 weeks. After a while though, she started to accept the facts and was exciting for me. I typed for a while, munching on some cherrios that my mom had packed in my bag for me. After a little bit, I started to get sleepy and put my laptop back into my sparkly neon orange carry-on bag. A flight attendent passed out mini pillows and blankets to everyone, and I curled up as much as I could in my seat. I dimmed the lights above me, and slowly drifted off to sleep.
