Elliana woke up. She didn't hear banging around in the kitchen and didn't smell coffee. She peeked in the kitchen, nobody was there. Elliana walked across the hallway to her grandmother's room and she saw her in bed.
"Granny! Granny wake up!"
Her grandma didn't move. She walked in and shook her grandma. Still no response, 'I have to call 911!' With that one thought racing through her mind she ran to the phone.
As Eliana ran to the phone her grandma moaned and opened her eyes "What are you doing Eliana? I'm just fine put the phone down, and help me up." Elliana was surprised, she had heard her granny's heart slow. Wait, she wasn't even close enough to hear her grandma's heart beat! Her grandmother looked at her and said "What's wrong Elliana?" Elliana stared at her grandma for a second, then said" I can I can hear your heart beating, from over here! How is that possible?" Her grandma's face turned from concern to recognition. Then she said "Follow me, I want to show you something." She hobbled up to the attic, somewhere Elliana was told never to go into.
