His memory is vague. All he remembered is screaming. Screaming his throat out. Screaming Eve's name.
According to his memories, things accumulated fast after Eve's death. He briefly remembers himself, wielding Rain in his hand, slicing apart the Teddy. That's probably drained what little energy he had left- And what little sanity, too. Because from that point on, he mostly remembers darkness.
There's something else, though. While he lay there, his eyes closed, he just awoke to find a terrible ache in his heart. He can guess what happened. But he doesn't want to.
Jerron. Smiling at him in his teary face. A bright explosion. Toto's voice shouted at him, taking him away to safety.
He really doesn't want to acknowledge the fact that he's lost another loved one other than Eve.
He shifted a finger. Pain immediately washed through his body. He felt the bandages wrapped over his forehead; there were probably more wounds on his face than he last remembered.
He brought his arm up to his face, ignoring the ache between his bones and joints, he lightly brushed his face, feeling the lump of the scar that formed over his left eye.
"How long have you been awake?" Ralph didn't need to look to tell that it was Cecilia who was speaking.
"I don't know," Ralph muttered, still keeping his eyes closed.
"A lot of things had happened while you're out cold," Cecilia prompted, Ralph caught the sound of flipping newspapers. "It seems like the Noir-Vols has fled further off East away from Deus Maris and settled around the area of the Flow Jungle."
"And the Pope lets them?"
"He allowed them to live around the smaller isle, not Flow Jungle mainland," Cecilia says, flipping another page. "Jerron Wedrag died in the war." She added in a lower tone.
Ralph didn't make a comment. He guessed about so.
"Is everyone else alright?" He asked. "Did anyone else die?"
"Yes," Cecilia sighed. "Monk. From what I've heard, right after you passed out, Toto came back with Kanitha. Shocked by the death of Eve, she attacked Lucy. But she lost, and that was expected. Monk betrayed Lucy. He used up his life to activate his power, and that was for Kanitha. He died after that. Shelly was also heavily wounded. In the end, Lucy was just tossing chunks of volcanoes and rocks at her. Obviously enraged by what has happened, Jerron sets off a bomb to get rid of Lucy. The explosion was strong, and it killed him along with it. Toto saved you and Kanitha before the explosion reached you."
"So the Scars' been fully wiped out now," Ralph mumbled.
"Not exactly. There have been smaller branches of them spread out all over the world. I, Paulie, and Kanitha got rid of those over the course of the past three months. They're basically all gone now."
Three months? Have I been sleeping for that long?
His eye felt dry and worn when he opens it. It took him some time to adjust to the lighting in the room. Rays of sunlight cast into the room from the window were dimmed by the curtains, which flowed up and down along with the rhythm of the wind. He shifted his head, feeling the ends of his hair tickling his cheeks as he caught sight of Cecilia. Sitting on a chair with him on her right, and Rain lying on the wall to her left, frowning down at the newspaper in her hand. Her silver hair glowed lightly under the sun curtains over her face, hiding her eyes away from sight. Ralph noticed bandages that were still wounded around her face, remembering the blow that Lucy's given her across her face.
"Cecilia," he muttered hoarsely. "Your face..."
"Heh," she scoffed coldly. "Do you still remember what it used to look like?"
