Are we destined to be together?

Chapter 1

I finally left that hell called school. I lay in my bed with my thoughts after graduation, not knowing what to do with my life now. Downstairs I hear my mom making a celebration dinner for my "big day". Outside in the front yard I hear cars passing, just minding their business while I'm here.

I hear my phone on my nightstand ding and I see I got a message. It's Kyle.

Kyle <3
Hey wanna sneak out tonight?

                                                   Sure 11 as always

Yea see you later my love ❤️

Damn I always get butterflies when he calls me that. I start to remember how we met and high school and how if we never met what would my life be like now? I'm glad that I'm getting on with my life with Kyle. We both have plans for the future, what jobs we wanna get, our dream home and so on. In 2 days I'm gonna go to UCLA to live out my dream... with Kyle of course. His friend Leo is also gonna be coming with us. Ever since I've met him I always caught him staring at me or when I make an unfunny joke how he always seems to laugh. I think nothing of it tho since he's one of my closest friends and he's probably just being friendly.

11 pm
After what feel likes forever it finally hits 11 and I quietly sneak out of my house through my window. When I first met Kyle he texted me randomly one night and asked me if we wanted to hang out, since I really liked him obviously I said yes. Our usual spot is a bridge that's near my house that rarely anyone goes to do it good for us.

As I walk closer I see that he's not there yet but I swear I saw him there. I hear footsteps behind me, I turn around and I see Kyle. He smiles at me and wraps his arms around me and buries his head in my neck. "I missed you" he says while hugging me a little tighter. "You saw me a few hours ago" I chuckle. "Yeah but you know, Leo probably has other stuff to do and he's not answering his phone" he says a little annoyed. "So what did you wanna do" I ask, "Well I wanted to give you a graduation present."

He pulls outs a jewelry box from his pants and opens it. Inside there was a ring... a promise ring since Kyle says that he wants to plan something special and get more money first. "I wanted to give you this promise because ever since I first met you I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you", "So please wear this ring for me" I start getting teary eyed because never would I have imagined that someone will ever do this for me. "Of course I'll wear it!" I said happily. I spread my left hand in front of him and he laces the promise ring on my finger. He got up and we both smiled and laughed with each other. He leaned in and kissed me more passionately than before.

Little did they know that a few feet from them was someone who watched the whole thing with tears in his eyes
