Late

I walked into class and realized something. I was 15 minutes late. Every single person in the room was giving me a glare, death stare, or laughing about how ridiculous I look. I turned my face to the teacher. Mrs. Edwards. She was about a 40 year old lady who was strict about EVERYTHING. I walked past her and sat in my seat. She had a ruler in her hand. I immediantly turned pale. Everyone knows what she does with that ruler. But, no one seemed to have the heart to tell anyone, and I was one of those people. "MISS COLLINS IS THERE A REASON WHY UR LATE?!" She slammed her ruler right on my desk. I stared at the ruler. I already know whats going to happen next. Everyones eyes were on me. Either looking sympathetic, not a care in the world, or laughing. Then I remembered something. Chandler was in my class. I glanced over at him and he looked sorry for me. We made eye contact. I could tell what he wanted to ask Maddie why are you so late?. I turned away from chandler and looked at Mrs. Edwards. "Im sorry ma'am this wont happen again" As I was about to grab my math textbooks she threw my bad across the room. I sighed. She stared at me with her beady brown eyes. Then she did something that I already knew was going to happen. She hit me with her ruler, right on the hand. I clutched my hand in pain rocking back and forth. "MAYBE NEXT TIME YOU SHOUDLNT BE LATE TO CLASS?!" I nodded. She kicked my bag back to me and walked in front of the class. Everyone laughed. Expect one. Chandler. He frowned at me and mouthed "Im sorry." I turned away and buried my face in my hands. Chandlers best friend, Gray, laughed. And Chan kicked him in the leg. "Its not funny". He said in a stern voice. And Gray laughed even more. In the corner of my eye I saw Chan staring at me, he looked so sorry, when it wasnt even his fault. "SILENCE IM SURE MISS MADDIE HAS LEARNED HER LESSON. BACK TO WORK EVERYONE". I let my head fall in my arms on my desk, not caring if I was doing work, being laughed at, or anything at that matter. "Im so done." I mumbled.
