Attack on Titan: Power of 12 Titans

Chapter 17

Levi, Mikasa, Peter, and Odom are still chasing after the Female Titan at a distance, and Levi asks, "The Weather Titan seems to have been bit right out of the neck. Are they dead?"

"I don't think so..." Peter says. "They're alive."

"That female Titan appears intelligent, and its goal seems to be capturing Eren, Katrina, and Aya." Mikasa says.

"If it wanted them dead, it would've just crushed them." Odom adds. "The target is fighting to escape after going through."

"Its goal may have been to eat Eren and Aya, the reason she is also eating Katrina is that she found out she's the Weather Titan. If that's the case, all three of them are in its stomach. It's more reasonable to assume that they're dead."

"Do you not care about your daughter, captain? They are still alive and we know it." Peter says with slight anger.

Levi grits his teeth and says, "I do care. And I hope you're right."

"If only you guys protected Eren, Aya, and Katrina, this wouldn't have happened!" Mikasa says with anger.

Levi looks closer to Mikasa and says, "I see. You're the one from back then. You're also Eren and Aya's close friend?"

Mikasa stares at him skeptically, and Levi continues, "We'll limit ourselves to a single goal. First, give up on killing the Female Titan."

"It killed many of our comrades!" Odom says, "Petra, Oluo, Eldo, Gunther...all of them died because of her!"

"As long as it can harden its skin, we can't kill it." Levi says. "Do as I say. We'll pin our hopes on Eren, Aya, and Katrina, still being alive, and rescue him before it leaves the forest. I will tear away at it... all three of you draw its attention!"

"Yes, captain!" Peter and Odom say while Mikasa just stares at him.

Then the three of them are starting to draw its attention, but the Female Titan is staring at Levi before turning around and trying to punch him. Levi manages to dodge the attack and takes out his blade, slashing at the arm. With a flip, Levi lands on her arm and uses the momentum to push off, reaching her face and digging his swords into her eyes. Droplets of blood flew out as the Female Titan's head tilts back.

Levi yanks his arms back. Flipping back into the air, he takes out fresh blades and spins down, slicing her down to her ankles. He comes at an arch, not giving her any time to recover and continuing the assault. Blood burst up from behind her head. She slides, falling on her rump, hand still covering her nape.

"So fast..." Mikasa gasps.

"Yeah, it's so fast that it has no time to harden its skin!" Odom adds.

Levi continues to carve her up, showing no chance of stopping. Finally, the Female Titan's hand falls from its protective position.

Peter says, "We can go for the neck! It's tired!"

Mikasa tries to charge at the female Titan, but Levi notices something's wrong and yells, "Stop!"

Mikasa notices that the Female Titan raises her fist, and Peter quickly pushes her out of the way, causing his ankle to be twisted.

"Peter!" Odom yells as he quickly slashes the mouth open, revealing Aya, Eren, and Katrina cocooned in saliva.

"Eren! Aya! Katrina!" Mikasa, Odom, and Levi manage to grab each one as Levi yells, "Hey! We're getting out of here!"

Peter asks, "Are they okay?"

"They're fine but filthy..." Levi says while looking at his daughter. "Forget about it...We'll retreat. Don't lose sight of the core objective. Is it more important to get what you want? Aren't they important friends?"
