"When the Colossal Titan vanished, whoever was inside had been wearing Maneuver Gear, so that they could escape in the steam." Erwin says while the other scouts are trying to leave the forest. "Don't you think the same possibility applies here?"

"But at the time..." Hange says, "Based on what we saw when Eren emerged from the Titan, we concluded it would be impossible. His equipment was destroyed, and his uniform was gone. Above all, Eren was so weak, he couldn't even stand unassisted."

"The Female Titan was able to attract other Titans with her cry. We failed to predict this, and the operation failed. If Titan abilities vary depending on skill, it was a mistake to use Eren, a total novice, as the basis for our assumptions." Erwin says. "If we are to outwit our enemy, we'll need to think outside the box."

With the 104th cadets, Jean asks, "If we're withdrawing, does that mean the mission succeeded?"

Armin replies, "If so, then we may already know who was inside the Female Titan."

"I'd like to see who it is... But why was the commander so sure that the enemy would come after Eren if he left the walls?" Jean wonders.

"I think it's because, for some reason, they suddenly stopped their advance in the midst of the last assault. Even though they managed to break through Trost's gate, they didn't even try for the inner gate. And when Eren sealed the gate, they let him. It could mean that they now have bigger concerns..." Armin replies.

"Bigger concerns?" Jean asks with confusion.

"Something more important to them than breaching the walls. Something unexpected that happened." Armin tilts to Jean.

Jean's eyes widened, "Eren's transformation and the three other Titans that help him?!"

"I think it's the only answer." Armin says.

"Then...That means..." Jean frowns. "Wait...so..."

Armin thinks, "Someone who was there, who saw Eren transform, is the Titan."

Back with the Levi Squad, Aya yells, "Gunther!"

"Aya! Guys! Don't stop!" Oluo yells. "Onward!"

"But Gunther..." Katrina mutters, and they see the cloaked figure in front of them again.

"Protect Eren!" Eldo yells.

"Damn it, what do we do? Eldo, where should we go?" Oluo yells.

"There isn't time to reach the horses!" Eldo replies. "Head to HQ, as fast as you can!"

The 8 people are still flying with their gears, and Oluo asks, "Is it from the Female Titan? Or is there more than one?"

Petra says, "Damn you...how dare you? Come at me! I'll defeat you, even if it kills me!"

Eren says, "I thought that the Female Titan was captured, why?"

Aya says, "Maybe they just captured the Titan body instead...which means after some time it would disappear without the host inside..."

Just then, the person in front of them transforms again, and the Female Titan is in front of them.

"I knew it!" Katrina says. "This time we'll defeat it once and for all!"

"Don't!" Eldo says, much to the other 5's shock. "The three of us will kill the Female Titan. You will continue to head straight for HQ at top speed!"

Just then, the Female Titan is able to grab Aya, Eren yells, "Aya!"

Just then, much to Aya's surprise, her body is feeling the shock as she manages to get out of the grip and escape.

Eren asks, "Aya? Are you okay?"
