Leo's pov:
"Are we late?" Percy asked me as we jog together towards the Big House.
"Probably." I grinned at him.
We chatted about random stuff as we ran across the grass, we had just had a go on the climbing wall and my shirt was still smoking lightly. The lava didn't bother me, I just didn't want to ruin another pair of pants. Suddenly Percy stopped walking.
"Do you hear that?" He asked me.
"Hear what?" I say, "My awesomeness? Loud and clear!" I laugh and punch him in the shoulder, but he's not listening.
"No. The rumbling." As he speaks I become aware of a rumbling noise that slowly gets louder and louder. Soon it's echoing around camp. Then loud boom sounds start thumbing around camp. Each sound makes me jump out of my skin. Other campers start to rush out of their cabins, as the booms get louder. Eventually, even the Hypnos kids charge, actually charge, out of their cabin.

Percy is somehow still on his feet, probably because of his 'son of the Earthshaker' schist. Suddenly, the ground splits open, right underneath our feet. Percy manages to grab the edge of the new canyon to stop us falling in, and catches my wrist so we are dangling the very large hole with only his strength to stop us from dying.
I look down but I can't see the end of the slit in Earth. I notice a weird pulling sensation, as if the hole wants me to fall into it. In a bad way. I look up at Percy and see his face is completely terrified. My heart stops when he slowly mouths to me:
Tartarus
