~No one's POV~ ~at school~ Hailey ran in the music room. "Luke!" She called out. "Yeah?" Luke responded. "Where's Zander?!" Hailey shouted. Luke raised an eyebrow. "Who's that?" Luke responded.' "y'know, your boyfriend!" Hailey shouted. "I don't have a boyfriend! I do have a girlfriend though~" Luke responded. Hailey raised an eyebrow. "Name?" She asked. "You forgot? I'm dating Stacy." Luke responded. Hailey's world felt like it was going in slow motion when Luke said he was dating Stacy. Hailey opened her mouth to say something but then closed it. "I will search the whole galaxy until I find Zander!" Hailey shouted. "You're officially the sane one in this club." Sean said to Milly. ~when Hailey got home~ Hailey plopped into her bed and buried her face in her pillow. Tears filled up her eyes. "Why did I say that?" Hailey asked herself. Her voice was cracking as she spoke. She looked down at the floor with these words echoing in her head in a robotic voice;

and then walked over to the bathtub H: Now my words are filling up the tub... Hailey stared at her reflection in the bath water as a tear fell into the bathtub. H: Darling you're just soaking in it...but I know you'll get out the minute...you notice all your fingers pruning up... I'm tired of being...CaRefUl, TiPtOe, tryna keep the water warm... Hailey put her finger in the bath water to see if it was hot. H:Let me under your skin... Hailey allowed the bathtub to fill up until it was full all the way and a little bit of water was coming out. Hailey's words echoed in her head as she turned off the bath water. She stared at the water as her words echoed in her head once more. H:Uh oh there it goes I said too much it overflowed. Why do I always spill?! Hailey got in the bath attempting to drown herself in the bath water. Obviously, she was unsuccessful. H: I feel it coming out my throat...guess I better wash my mouth out with soap Hailey stared at the bar of soap next to her and picked it up. H:I wish I never spoke...now I gotta wash my mouth out with soap...I feel it coming out my throat...guess I better wash my mouth out with soap...I wish I never spoke...Now I gotta wash my mouth out with soap~ Hailey opened her mouth, and scrubbed her tongue with soap. It tasted horrible, but she deserved it. "Hailey!" Shannon called. She immediately ran towards the door and locked it. "Don't tell me she's looking for that imaginary friend of hers!" Shannon sighed in her head. H:Think I got myself in trouble... so I'll fill the bath with bubbles. Hailey poured bubbles in the tub. She thought of all the bubbles as little phrases she wished she said to her poor stepbrother

H:then I'll put the towels all away...should've never said the words "I wish" ...threw a toaster in the bathtub She imagined herself getting electrocuted by the toaster H: I'm sick of all the games I have to play...I'm tired of being CaReFuL, tIpToE, tryna keep the water warm, lemme under your skin... uh oh there it goes I said too much it overflowed...WHY DO I ALWAYS SPILL?! I feel it coming out my throat...guess I better wash my mouth out with soap... Without giving it a second thought, Hailey shoved the bar of soap back in her mouth chewing it a little. She then heard a loud knock on the door. "HAILEY!!" Shannon shouted. "Mhm?" Hailey replied. Her response was muffled because of the soap. "Open up!" Shannon shouted. Hailey drained the bath, spit the soap into the garbage and opened the door. "What we're you doing in there?" Shannon asked. "Uhhh... Nothing important..." Hailey lied. "Ok?" Shannon said but it sounded like more like a question then a response. Hailey ran back into her room starting at the ceiling. All she could think about was Zander. She started crying. ~Shannon's POV~ I walked into Hailey's room and saw her crying. I knew she was doing something in that bathroom. "What's wrong love?" I asked her. Hailey looked up at me. "Zander." She said. Not this again! I can't just go along with her act for much longer! But at the same time, I didn't want to raise my voice. I was silent for a little. "Give me a minute..."
