Next Day Morning

Strong rays of the Sun made her squint her eyes in irritation. Delia slept quite deep and well after consuming the highest amount of alcohol she ever had in her life. Being drowsy she woke up slowly but as soon as she gained consciousness her eyes fluttered open. She blinked several times, her mind was still foggy from the events of the previous night. As she took in her surroundings, her eyes widened in disbelief, discomfort.

The room she found herself in was nothing short of a dream. It exuded opulence and extravagance. Delicate chandeliers cast a warm glow, reflecting off the gilded mirrors adorning the walls. Plush, velvet curtains drape the tall windows, allowing a glimpse of a breathtaking view of the city. The bed she lay in was a grand canopy with luxurious silk sheets and fluffy pillows. She was so unsure whether she was still in her sleep and dreaming all of these. She pinched herself to fade away the confusion.

Delia sat up, running her hand through her tousled hair, trying to recall how she ended up in this lavish space. Memories slowly started to trickle back into her mind, a haze of laughter and celebration. Everyone was dancing, the music was loud, she was drunk and the abstract visuals of a tall man approaching her. Delia's ears turned red when her anxiety kicked in recalling the kiss .. and after that? What was there after that? No matter how much stress she put on her memory she doesn't seem like remembering a single second after that. She tried again and again but could not help herself.

Delia's heart pumped faster than ever. That means she blacked out, blacked out at an unknown newly opened club and now she has no idea how the heck she ended up being here inside this lavish room.

"What...where am I?" She confusedly whispered.

She swung her legs off the bed and planted her feet on the soft, plush carpet. As she stands up, her eyes catch a glimpse of herself in the full-length mirror beside the bed. She gasps, momentarily taken aback by her own reflection.

Her reflection revealed a woman adorned in an exquisite robe dress, intricately designed and bejewelled. She hesitated for a moment, her mind racing to comprehend the situation. Then, she noticed a handwritten note on the vanity table nearby.

Curiosity piqued, Delia picked up the note and read it with utter confusion.

"Dear Delia, last night was magical. Thank you for gracing our event with your presence. Your charm captivated me. Please enjoy this room as a token of my appreciation. - RV “

Delia's eyes widen, a mix of shock and awe filling her expression. She tried again to piece together the fragments of memory from the previous night, memories of a glamorous event she attended, mingling with unknown people, swirling those alcohol glasses, and the sound of laughter.

DELIA whispered to herself,
"I... I was at that club. How did I end up here?"

As she gazed out the glass window from a far, the view revealed a breathtaking panorama of a city skyline, glittering in the morning light. Again the reality of her current situation sank in, and a mix of discomfort, confusion, and a tinge of disbelief washed over her.

She was mentally cursing herself to death for being so careless. She should have never gone to a place like that to begin with. What if Xavier comes to know about all this? She panicked but the memories crept in about how her boyfriend was enjoying and partying with Veronica forgetting about her birthday. But that does not justify that what she did was wrong.

Taking a deep breath, Delia dared to walk towards the window, opening it slowly, allowing a gentle breeze to caress her fear-stricken face. A soft smile automatically formed on her lips as she took in the beauty of the moment as she could see the whole city without moving her eyesight.
