{chapter 5}

the next morning i woke up to my alarm at 8am for uni. i checked my notifications on my phone for a bit and decided to answer a few messages. once i was done i decided to change the playlist i was listening to. when i stood up from my bed i got very dizzy. once the dizziness went away i went to the bathroom to shower and brush my teeth. when i got out of the shower i brushed my hair and blow dried it. my hair was naturally wavy so i just left it alone after i blow dried it. i then went over to the sink and brushed my teeth. after i brushed my teeth i went back to my room to get dressed. i went through my closet for a bit looking for something to wear. i decided to wear a pair of oversized ripped jeans, a black crop top, and a black jacket that alex had sent to me a few months ago. i checked my phone and saw the time was 9:15am. my first class started at 10am so i have to leave around 9:45am to get there by 10am. i grabbed my laptop and my notebooks from my desk and put them all in my school bag. once i grabbed all of my school stuff i made my way back over to my bed and grabbed my phone charger. i put my phone charger in my bag. i went to the bathroom to do some simple eyeliner and mascara before i had to leave. once i was done with that i went back to my room to grab my school bag, my keys, and a monster from my fridge. i decided to grab my black hightop converse before i left my room. before i went outside i put my shoes on and made my way out of the house. i then went to my car. when i got into my car i got a message from tommy asking if i could pick him up.

tommy

hey rory can you pick me up? i woke up late and dont have time to take the train and you're the only one with a car nearby.

yeah i can pick you up. just be ready when i get there.

i then connected my phone to my car and played a different playlist than the one that was on at the moment. after i did that i started my car and made my way to tommy's house. after about a 5 minute drive i got to his house.

as i waited i opened my monster and took a sip of it. nest thing i knew i heard tommy banging on my window. i unlocked my car to let him in.

"how did you wake up late bro?"

"my alarm didn't go off and when i woke up i realized i had about 5 minutes to get ready."

"i hate when that shit happens dude."

we continued to listen to music until we got to the uni parking lot. when we got to the school it was about 9:50am and my first class started at 10am. after talking for a few minutes tommy got out and made his way into the building. i sat in my car until about 9:56 then decided to get my things and also make my way into the school. i saw mae across the hall and went up behind her and wrapped my arms around her shoulders.

"hi mae"

i kissed her cheek.

"jesus rory you scared the shit out of me."

"sorry bro"

i moved to walk beside her but kept one of my arms on her shoulder. we talked for a bit as we made our way to our first class that we shared. my first class of the day was my art and design course. this was my favorite class although i only have 3-4 classes during the day. this class usually went by fast.

the day went by pretty fast so mae and i decided to hangout after school. we decided to go back to my house for a bit so we could do a bit of uni work before we went to go mess around doing stupid stuff.

"im boredddd"

"i only have 10 more words for my essay that i have to do. we can go do something after i finish it."

"ughhh fineee"

once i finished my essay i closed my laptop and turned to look at mae.

"finally bro you've been working on that essay forever. what do you wanna do now?"

"wanna go to the park? it shouldn't be that busy cause it is like 8pm"

"that could be fun. lets go"

as soon as i stood up i felt dizzy and my vision went black.
