*Julia's P.O.V.*

"I'm tired." I groaned to Cassie and Dakota. They didn't pay attention to me, though. They kept looking at all the boys around.

"Ooo, he's cute," said Cassie.

"Yeah, but look at his teeth, total turn off." Dakota said, grimacing. Cassie shrugged and pointed to another boy. Dakota said something, but I ignored them.

We were at a boardwalk supposed to be going on rides, but instead we were sitting at a food stand, munching on fries and checking out boys.

I shifted in my seat, turning towards Dakota. "Hey, don't you already have a man back at the hotel?" I asked her. A bit of pink rose to her cheeks.

"I doubt he's interested in me," she told us, looking down and picking at something on her jeans. I rolled my eyes. I took a sip of my soda and started to get up.

"I'll be right back," I told them, "bathroom." I tossed my can in the trash and started walking. I went into the bathroom and as I was walking out I bumped into someone. Literally.

"Hey!" They started, "Watch where you're going!" They turned around only to meet me with a set of brown eyes. I flinched a little, the guys stare was a little intense.

"Sorry," I mumbled and looked down at the ground.

"It's fine." He told me. "Hey, I was just joking around." He grabbed my chin in his hands and brought my eyes up to meet his. He was at least a good 4 inches taller than me. He had blond skater boyish hair. He smiled. "I'm nothing to be afraid of, trust me."

I stared at him. "Uh, yeah," I stuttered, "still, sorry about bumping into you before." I moved my face so that it wasn't in his hands in his hands anymore. I started walking away from him.

"Wait!" I heard him shout behind me. I turned. "I never got your name."

"I never got yours either," I told him with a wink. He grinned.

"Ooo, she has an attitude," he laughed, "My names Riker. Riker Lynch. Now, what's yours, girlie?" I rolled my eyes.

"My names Julia Tyler. Nice to meet you, Riker, but I've got to get back to my friends, now." I said turning to walk back the way I came. I heard heavy footsteps behind me. I grinned and rolled my eyes a little bit. "Can you leave me alone? I don't even know you." I told him.

He fell in step with me. "Nah, you seem pretty cool. I'm gonna hang with you for a little while." I turned towards him.

"Well, we can't go back to my friends, if your gonna be following me like a puppydog." I told him. He raised an eyebrow.

"Why can't we go see your friends?" He asked. "Are you embarrassed of me?" He asked in mock shock.

"We were just talking about boys and if I randomly brought you back, they'd never let me live it down." I said, pulling out my phone and shooting a text to Dakota saying that I was gonna head back to the hotel because I was getting tired. "Ready?" I asked him. He nodded. "Well, what do you want to do first?"

"Whatever you would like to do, miss." He said with a fake bow. I rolled my eyes and grabbed his arm.

"Ferris wheel!" I yelled and started dragging him towards it. There was nobody in line so we got straight on the ride. It took us all the way to the top and I looked down and grinned. "THIS IS AWESOME!" I shouted and threw my hands up into the air. Riker looked at me with confusion written all over his face.

"You'd think you've never ridden one of these before." He laughed.

"I haven't." I told him. He looked at me.

"Oh, I didn't know..." He said. I started laughing and he joined me. We went in a few more rides and then I looked at my watch. It was already 11.

"Ah! I've got to go!" I told Riker. He looked at me with a pout.

"But why!" He said. "We were having so much fun!"

"My friends are gonna be wondering where I am! I can't just leave them!" I yelled and started to turn.

"Wait, let's at least get each others numbers so we can hang out again, yeah?" He said. I nodded and put my number into his phone.

"All right, now I really gotta go," I told him. I ran toward the street and hailed a cab and hopped in. I gave the cabbie the address of the hotel and leaned back in my seat. My phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out. There was a text from an unknown number:

Can't wait to see you again XX Riker

I rolled my eyes and smiled looking out the window at the beach passing by. I'm gonna enjoy this trip, I thought.
